MessageFlew Nairobi Zurich London, 1976 I think, on the vc10 as a 7 year old, got to sit in the pilots seat over Egypt. Most people got off at Zurich , the pilot then asked if any of the remaining passengers objected to a real take off. This then resulted in absolutely flooring it down the runway and as near to a vertical take off you could have in a passenger aircraft. Thanks EAA, brilliant memories, and a great website. smilie

MessageHello,
I got my hands on a rather large steel model of EAA F-27 many years ago in my youth. Would you like me to send you a photo?

Greetings from Ron in Waterloo, Ontario

MessageWe have just had an EAA reunion in London and it was great to catch up with people that I hadn't seen for about 35 to 40 years.
There will probably be another one in 2 years time and I know that everyone is welcome.
The contacts are Jerry Sirley or Eric Molberg.
It was a good 'Do' and very well organised.

MessageI joined EAA in July 1975 as an Airframe/Engine Inspector in the Hangar on the DC-9 & Super VC-10 fleet. I was there at the end in March 1977 when I returned to the UK. 37 years later I am working on 5H-MOG again at Dunsfold in Surrey, UK as a volunteer for Brooklands Museum looking after the aircraft. I have run the engines a few times now and taxied the aircraft on 19.08.14 along the Dunsfold runway three times. The aircraft is in RAF livery as ZA150, retiring from the RAF last September, 2013.
