MessageI've been busy with project on the DC-3 / C-47 in South African service for a few years, and as a couple of ex-SA Dak airframes ended up with EAA I decided to read Peter J Davis' book to follow-up on these aircraft. I've just finished the book for the second time in two weeks......what an incredible story !! The sad reality is it serves as a shining example of the fate that befell so many companies throughout Africa over the years.....but for the political will to succeed EAA would today still be occupying the space newbies are attempting to fill with varying degrees of success.

Of particular interest to me are six Dakota airframes - VP-KJP (5Y-AAD), VP-KJQ (5Y-AAE), VP-KJS (5X-AAR), VP-KKI (5H-AAL), VP-KNU, and VP-KTS (5X-AAS).

Could anyone shed any light on what happened to them when EAA closed? Does anyone have images of these particular airframes in service they would be willing to make available?
