MessageI did not know Michael but I consider him a brother. I was a machine gun squad leader in the 3/21 196th. LIB, Americal Division from march 1969 until umarch 1970. I was in D. company, Black Death. Michaels story in an incredible story of bravery. I served with many brave and wonderful men who, without their bravery, I would not be alive today but Michael gave the ultimate. I'm grateful that he is being
honered as he is. God be with his soul and all the others who sacrificed all.

MessageI served with the 196th and remember the event. Not a day goes by that I don't think of the 196th and the boys I served with. I would be the right thing to do to rename the VA. When I go there it would give me a feeling of pride and closure.

We do whatever I can to make it happen.

God Bless our family and God Bless America.
