MessageI am the Past Cmdr. of American Legion Post 129, Toms River, NJ. I am now the Ocean Co. Cmdr. I am close friends with Mike's brother Charlie and I was honored to be a poll bearer when Mike was resting in the funeral home in Doylestown, Pa. I accompanied Charlie to Arlington when Mike was laid to rest with his bothers in arms. Charlie gave me a flag from Arlington and it was given a place of honor in Post 129. Mike is enshrined in the Post forever. Two young High School East art students painted a 14' x 16' mural and a cabinet maker enclosed the mural with mahogany pillars. Each of the student was given a $1000 scholarship to the college of their choice. Mike encompasses all of the aspects of a true American Hero. He represents all of Philadelphia heros as he holds the highest military honor that can be bestowed upon military personnel. The American Legion honors all who gave their lives to defend our great country and all who serve our sacred land. Edison High Schools 54 heros will not be forgotten nor would they be dishonored in any way if Mike's name is placed where it should be. To Charlie, Joe, Peter, Steve and Chris keep the faith.

MessageI knew Mike. I was his squad leader. I am alive today because or the sacrifice he made on 20 Nov 1968. I was wounded on Nui Chom just minutes after Mike died. Medevac choppers would not have been able to evacuate the wounded if Mike had not taken out the machine guns that day. I was privilaged to attend his internment in Arlington. To his family, especially to Joe whom I now consider a brother, thank you for your devotion to your brother's memory. I am pleased to be a supported of the move to re-name the VAMC in Philly to imortalize Mike. God bless,

MessageI hope that the Congress sees fit to honor michaels utilmate sacrifice. Michael is constantly in my prayers of allowing me to live a full life at the cost of his own. I will be constantly in his debt for the rest of my life. That day in November should not be forgotten.
Rest in peace brother

MessageMichael Crescenz Family

For the four years that I attended CD, I took for granted the names that where on that stone that graced the entrance of out school but I want to take this time to say THANK YOU TO MICHAEL for his service. To rename the VA in his honor would be a lasting tribute Mike Galvin “86”

MessageI was in attendance when Michael was disentered on the first leg of his journey to Arlington. It was an honor I do not take lightly. It is our duty that we should always honor those who died in the service of our country. God bless the Crescenz family for allowing the PGR to honor Michael.
