MessageHello Jim
I live in Halifax N.S.just and hour down the road from to your Dad's birth place and I was always a fan of his music.
I went to many shows when Hank was touring up this way and attended one show in Saint John N.B. in the early 50s when you with him.
As you know today is your Dads birthday and just wanted to let you know that today May 09,2012 that CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) aired across Canada an hour long radio show during the afternoon honouring your Dad on his birthday by playing a variety of his songs. Thanks to you, your Dad and Mom for all the great memories.

May the good Lord bless and keep you

Pearson

MessageHi Jimmie
Today I heard off you on CTVS, I grew up listening
too your father sing, and today for the first
time I heard you singing with a Dobro back ground.
I truly loved the song & the music, as I play the

Thank you

MessageDear Jimmie,
Since today is February 6th, I want to wish you a very Happy 75th Birthday and many, many more! You and I were born in the same year (1936) and my birthday is September 17th! As a flashback, I'm the one who saw you, your dad and Elvis in person in Abilene, Texas, in 1955! You and your dad performed a magnificent show (your dad is my favorite country artist) but I was never a real fan of Elvis. Charlene Arthur was on the show as well. My how the years go by all too quickly. May God bless you and your family.
Jo Anne from Rockford, IL

MessageDear Mr. Snow,

I know know about your father's German Shepard dog, Pal. Well, my grandfather Herb Ellis from Bathurst NB owned Pal and one day Hank came by "Pa's" farm and bought him. I think he was actually my Aunt Louise's dog, and he was bad tempered. However, Hank showed no fear of him, and Pal took to Hank right away. I am guessing that this happened in the 1930's. He (Hank) wrote about Pal in the biography book he wrote and he mentioned the farmer who sold the dog to him although not by name. The book has a picture of Pal, I think.

Like your father, I have spent the vast majority of my adult life in the US, but I did grow up in Janeville NB, next door to the farm that Hank visited and where he purchased Pal.

Steve Ellis,
Dodge City,
Kansas
