MessageSorry to hear about the damaged derriere on your hardest day. Doubtless you have the remedy in your pack. If not we can only say, silly ass. Seriously, obviously your win made it worthwhile. So pleased you can now have hotel rest. We are so proud of you as we are kept enthralled. We know that you will do it, with distinction, as per our family trait. All our love. God Bless. Gramps and Nana.

MessageToday was another mando day for me. That's four already this week with one more tomorrow before rest days on Satruday and Sunday. It started off well enough. I had slept OK apart from the obligatory pee breaks, and breakfast was all about getting carbs on board for the challenges ahead.
It was a little cold on the seven minute walk into work and I had to avoid several potholes and one particularly aggressive cyclist (!) as I crossed a busy road. Near the station I encountered herds of commuters heading for the train, and I stopped for a while to admire the daily migration.
The hill down to the office was particularly difficult this morning, but I made it without losing too much shoe leather. I was hassled by an old lady with a carrier bag and a spotty boy close to my desitnation, but I managed to squeeze home and pick up the bonus minutes that only winners can claim.
A day on the telephones is not to be sniffed at, with only occasional coffees, teas, biscuits and cakes for sustainance. That's in the morning of course, with a hearty lunch and more snacks in the afternoon.
Then its back up the hill to get home, and here getting maximum traction by choosing the right line is important. I was able to draft for a while before making the last push for the front door and more bonus minutes.
Now I'm really pooped, and somewhat dismayed I will have to do it all again tomorrow.
This Tour d'Office is not an easy gig....
Paul you are an inspiration to us all!!! smilie

MessageHey Paul - really enjoy your blog updates. Just an amazing "human feat" you are doing. How does it feel to do something that only a teeny teeny tiny percent of the worlds population could ever do?
Stay safe and healthy!

MessagePaul-

Wow! What an incredible journey! Your dad works with me at K-C and has been inspiring us with stories about your trip. I used to ride a motorcycle and once daydreamed about doing a Paris-Dakar off road trip on a motorcycle, but I can't imagine doing it on a bicycle!

Thanks for the inspiration by taking on a challenge like this. There are days when I don't feel like going to the gym and then I think about what you are doing every day and it gets me going again. Best of luck and stay safe.
