MessageHello, I was looking at a copy of my great uncle's obituary, dated Dec. 7th, 1962. I don't know the name of the paper, because it was a newspaper clipping. The obituary is of G.W. Gaddis, from Dawsonville. The funeral services were at the Mill Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetary. This was the brother of my mother's father,Floyd Gaddis who was from the same area but moved away around 1910. Would you like a copy for your website?

Sincerely, Kathryn Graham

MessageHello. This site is just great. Continue good success with it. I'm trying to trace the John Anderson(1802/1876)family from Lumpkin County (wife's name Melvina?). They apparently were born, raised and died in Lumpkin County according to census and other info. Wish I had something to contribute but info is all from ancestry.com. There aren't any birth or death dates listed on your site under the story of Lumpkin County Anderson's so don't know if the John Anderson listed is kin. But still like what you've done with the website. Thank you.

MessageYour web site has given me information that I never knew. I wasn't aware that Georgia was involved in the gold rush days.

MessageTracy, I enjoyed you web site. I noticed on the page for Soules Chapel Church, you said, "Nathan H. Skinner was the first minister of the Soules Chapel United Methodist Church." I never knew that my 2nd great grandfather was a minister. Most ministers at that time had to also work another job to feed their families. I tried to send you a photo made in 1904 of his grandchildren, Ida, Eugene and Oma Skinner, but the email would not go through. The Ida in the photo is my grandmother.

Thanks,
Ken Whitehead,
