MessageThank You for this site. What a Brilliant Job you are doing for all the Familys of Lumpkin County.
The ones that passed thru and the Familys that still have " Kin Folk " there. We all need to know where we came from.
Thank You again,
Bill Trammell

MessageThanks so much for letting us (the public) view all this info you worked so hard to gather. It has helped me with my family history book I am trying to put together. I was born Alma Weaver, in Ft. Myers, FL, daughter of Raymond Frank Weaver, a son of Frank and Lucy Weaver. I just learned that Lucy had a sister, Beulah Head, and I found her name here. Thanks again.

MessageGreat to find a local genealogy site.
I deal mainly with the Heltons. They were married into the Grizzles, Grindles, Pruitts, Harkins Dockerys and others. They were from the Cherokee Nation and I have them back to 1705. The Heltons obtained land from the Ga Land and Ga Gold Lottery. Abraham Helton 1743/1843 is buried with his Cherokee wife Katie Owl at the Frogtown Winery in Lumpkin County on Damascus Church Road. Feel free to contact me for any information on the Heltons.
