MessageSue, Amanda and Karl:

I don't even know where to begin. I am so sorry about Bill. I will always remember our trip to your house (Amanda was at camp I think) where I got to hang out with Karl spend some time with you and Bill. I also remember our Disneyland trip (which was a lot of fun!). Bill was an amazing man and will always be with you in spirit. I had learned about Bill's cancer from my mom in July and when I took Caleb to South Dakota to meet Grandma Wolfe, that is when I had learned of his passing. After reading your blog (by the way, your blog is amazing) it sounds like you have an amazing support team and I am so happy that you and Bill's mother are living together. Time will ease the pain but not the memories you share. I wish I could have spent more time with all of you. I miss all of you and hope that things are getting just a little bit easier. All of you will be in prayers.

Love you,

Kirstin

MessageI was saddened to learn of Bill's death. We have been friends for 40 years since we were roommates at Bronxville. Though we have only been together a few times since 1973, we were always able to pick up where we left off. Especially there were memories of Greek and all 288 forms of the verb which we memorized sophmore year, a silly assignment from our instructor Professor Wiedmann. In the cafeteria and everywhere we went a PT would challenge us to identify a verb form. Bill drove Weidmann mad one day in class, I forget now what Bill actually said, but Weidmann began scratching at the blackboard. He was always frustrated by his students. Then there was our booth at the Dinkleberry festival pictured in the Yearbook from freshman year. And there was Bill in his "lounging pants" being chased through the snow, and the Cabana Club created on the roof of the dorm, and just memories that flood into my mind.
He was a great roommate and a good friend. I wish his family the comfort of the gospel that Bill trusted and was called to proclaim.

MessageDear Sue,

Today at the pastor's circuit we were talking so much about Bill we had tears, smiles and chuckles as we remembered the stories, his antics and his charm. As much as I rejoice that Bill has recieved his reward...has all of his questions answered ...and is having having wonderful painfree fellowship with Jesus Christ today, I still weep for the rest of us. My heart goes out to you and your family. Bill was one of my biggest supporters as I was going through my struggles and I miss his smile and encouragement... Lynnie and I send you our deepest love and have moved you to the top of our prayer list. God Bless You... Deuteronomy 4:39

MessageSue,

I am holding you and your family in my heart before the Lord. Would there be the opportunity to read a poem I want to write in honor of your dear husband?
