| Message | My Dearest Bryce, Today marks a very historic day in LGBT rights. Today, Wisconsin became the first state in the Midwest to legislatively enact legal protections for same-sex couples via Domestic Partnerships. Something just is historic is the fact that this newly implemented law did not catch national attention, showing that society is becoming more accepting and not viewing laws like this as something of controversy. When I saw news clippings of the first couples lining up to get their partnership I cried. I cried for a number of reasons. I cried because it reminded me of how much I miss you and want you to be here with me. I cried because I await the day we can enter into a similar or stronger union. Every day and night without hearing your voice is harder than the one before it. Even after seven weeks have passed since you were taken away I still continue to cry every night and hope and pray for you safe return.
