| Message | Hello, Bryce. I don't know if you will be able to access this site while you're in the facility, but I pray that these messages of love reach you as soon as possible. You need to be brave, braver than you've ever had to be in your whole life. But they can't take away what G-d has given you, the gift to love Travis and be part of the gay community. You must never feel ashamed of this; the capacity for love is the greatest tool we have for changing the world. It is the closest thing to heaven that we can know while we are alive. Bryce, I wish I could hug you now, bring you tea, and tell you how you're going to be all right. I don't know where you are, but I know for certain that you are loved. Don't let go of that. After this is over, your friends from med school, and Travis, and the whole gay community can help set you on your feet again. If it's one thing we queer folks have in common, it's that coming out was a nightmare for most of us - I'm still dealing with the repercussions of that at home, myself. We have become stronger thanks to all that we've lived through. And we can pull one another up, and embrace those who are suffering, acting as wells of strength for each other. Believe me when I say you are not alone. The people who love you will be there to help. They will be the shoulder to cry on that I only wish I could offer you. I send all my love, Bryce. Hold on. | Message | Bryce, If you can find a way to get out of the religious trap of anti-gay propoganda you will be far better off. I personally was in that world for years and was in the closet. I even got married and had two kids with my x wife. Being gay never leaves no matter what. I came out of the closet way late in life and at first my parents were shocked, but now they even talk with my partner James some. As you can tell I and my x wife are divorced and even my kids except the fact that I am gay. They even are friends with James and really like him alot. Just remember God and Jesus loves you. Others will tell you that you are so wrong and that you have demons and that to love a person of the same sex is very wrong. What they will not tell youis about King David and Johnathan's same sex affair, nor Ruth's feelings for Naomi, nor even give you actually what the greek and hebrew words really mean. They will use you as a poster boy to politically have their way to continue Anita Bryants crusade against all gsys. Leave the false ministry immediately. Run to your love and embrace his love everything will work out. Your parents are using this as a control mechanism. Shame! Your parents are frightened yes because of losing what they believed all thes years. My Dad and Mom in their 70's look at being gay totally different because their son is gay. Every parent will. | Message | This is the thing I fear the most for our society: that religious zealots get control and try to foist their beliefs on us, without mercy. Whether the parents can say "he went there willingly," honestly, is extremely doubtful. The movie "and then came summer" comes to mind when I hear/read reports like this. Frankly stated, the young man is "missing," and needs to be found, "with all deliberate speed." The more I read stories like this, the more prone I am to legislate/outlaw hate speech in the USA, and the churches of people like this are not just extremely "suspect," rather, are just begging for a way to control everybody's thoughts. For those who don't "Big Brother" exists, well, take a closer look at this and then try to honestly tell me this is not a form of "mind control." Sadly, the ones who get away with it are usually the ones most in need of that treatment themselves, in my experience. |
