| Message | I have just come across this story, and am appalled, and horrified by what I read. I just needed to write and lodge my support for Bryce. There is no shame, in being gay, we must not allow narrow minded bigots to take our civil liberties away. Be yourself, and be true to yourself. I hope you manage to get away and get back to your boyfriend and build a life together, you have so much ahead of you. I think your parents should be deeply ashamed of themselves and their behaviour. |

| Message | Terrible story, but an important one that needs to be shared. I fear that there are many stories similar to Bryce's. From a legal standpoint, I hope that someone has filed a missing persons report and contact the local police in the town where you feel he is being "held". I would hope that the authorities would want to know about anyone who might possibly be being held against their wishes. |

| Message | I can't believe such institutions still exist in this country, they sound like a prison. I hope that Bryce can be found. It's a very remote chance, but I saw a young man in Rochester, MN at the entrance to one of the malls with a sign, saying "homeless, anything helps" posted. he has haunted me ever since I saw him yesterday. He resembles this youg man, so could it be him? If it were I would have great guilt I had passed him by, but one doesn't know, however, this email is a strange and interesting connection after yesterdays encounter. I never spoke to him, but it's bothered me ever since. Perhaps searching Rochester is an option to locate. Steve |
