Messagethanks again for the information about jerry varners parents and grandparents. my mother did not remember her grandfathers name. she still remembers her grandfathers looks and his ability to talk practicaly non-stop!! she was 11 when he died in 1928. she also remembers him being wounded in the civil war and carrying some type of metal in him for the rest of his life. how many people still alive can still remember talking to someone who was in the civil war??? anyway she really enjoys the information i got from your website. she turned 92 today and is still sharp as a tack. she loves to read and is very independent. thanks again for all the info. i am going to search more on jacob varner to see what i can find.

MessageHi Ron!
This is a new site, started last fall. I have not overlooked Sugar Ridge, just haven't gotten to it yet. There are over 50 cemeteries in Putnam County, I am up to 34 right now, and not all of those are completed yet. Thanks for your comments and signing my guest book! Sugar Ridge is coming Soon!!!! smilie

MessageRon, Hi,
Do you have copies of your grandparents birth certificates, or death certificates? If you can find them, they sometimes give their parents names...then you have the next generation up.,,,and so on. If you need some assistance, I would be glad to help

MessageA very well done web site. It is thrilling to find many of my Crawfis and Guisinger ancestors listed here.

I noticed that Sugar Ridge Cemetery near Leipsic Ohio in Putnam County somehow was overlooked.

MessageI just went out yesterday and took pictures at Franconia Cemetery. I was taking pictures as part of an assignment for a photography course. I may have some that are usable if you'd like to add them to your site. I have Dora Winchester, Clairie Weiser with the Winchester base, Oren M. Lee and Nathan Whiting with a flag next to it. I have some clear shots of others that you already have too. Let me know if you'd like to see any of my pics. I enjoyed going out for this assignment. If there are other cemeteries that you need pics from I may be able to help out. Thanks, Mike

MessageI have relatives buried in the east cemetary at B elmore. I'am trying to identify how they are related to me. Some of the old stones are hard to read. I don't know how to go about locating the records that would help me with this. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know. My grandparents are buried in the west cemetary at Belmore.

MessageGreat site! Re recent messages,Fanny Landis Varner and Isaiah Varner(born 1842) had ten children, including my grandfather Charles born 1872 and Jerry, born 1875. Asa Varner was Isaiah's brother. Asa born 1853. Asa and Isaiah were sons of Jacob Varner (born 1805) and Eliza Guyton (b.1814). Eliza was daughter of Vincent Guyton, born 1786 in Baltimore and granddaughter of Underwood Guyton, born about 1734 in Baltimore. Would love to see more photos of Varner graves. Thanks!!!

MessageHello,
This is a GREAT site. I actually took photos of some relatives and suspected relatives in several Putnam County Cemeteries and was thinking that someone should do something like this and you already have! I have photos of some of the people you have listed and would be happy to e-mail them to you so you can add them to the site. If anyone is looking for genealogy info I also have tons saved on ancestry.com especially the Nienberg, Crawfis, Agner, and Hermiller families. Thanks so much for you time & efforts. April

MessageThis is a FANTASTIC site and Cathy did such a great job for me! I needed help finding my relative, JH Williams, and Cathy photographed his gravestone for me and helped me with my research. This is a great resource and I thank her very much and am glad she shares her passion with all of us!!!
