MessageDoes any one know if there is any info on the tombstones used for the shrine in Glandorf Ohio. I was told it used to be the first cemetary St Johns had, they moved and used tombstones to build the shrine, What I am looking for is the names on the tombstones. I am looking for the stone of my gggrandparents and thought they might be in the shrine.

MessageCathy, How can I get info to you on cemetaries that I have recorded information on? Have some info on Ottawa Saint Peter and Paul, Kalida St. Michaels, Glandorf St Johns, and complete listing of Cuba St. Isadore.

MessageNicholas, Thank you for pointing that out...I don't know how they were missed...since I had the photo. But Wm and Bersheeba are now posted...maybe I was going to take a clearer picture..it is a little fuzzy, I apologize, I am going in that direction soon, and will stop for a better pic.
Thanks again, and thanks too for sharing your experience with this cemetery.

MessageWhy is there no tombstone listed for WR & Bersheeba Crow, when it is definately in the cemetary & there is even an image of it shown at the bottom of the web page?

Several friends & I had a supernatural experience in that cemetary on 10/31/1993 whichwas 100 years to the day that Bersheeba had passed.

We pulled up to that cemetary & to us, one of the tombstones looked like a skull, when we looked at that stone, it was Bersheeba's & she had passed 100 years (to the day) from when we were standing there. It was extra creepy, of course, because it was on Halloween.

Thanks!

MessageHi Sharon,

Thank you for your kind comments, I have thoroughly enjoyed putting this site together. It is a work in progress though.

There are many cemeteries around what used to be Franconia, the town. Cascade, Fairview and others around Dupont, Ohio. Like I said this is a work in progress, and I will be on the look out for your ancestors. Cascade is an old cemetery too, (there are 2 parts, old and new) and I dont have alot of info on it yet....keep checking back, and if I run into the site for your ggggrandfather, I will try and let you know asap.

Thanks Again,
Cathy / Ohio Tombstones

MessageHi,
Thanks for this site. I was so hoping to find my great, great, great grandfather Alexander Good here. His last known address was Perry, Putnam, Ohio, with the Post Office box listed at Franconia. He was born in 1783 and died in 1860, not long after the census that gave me this information.
I have no idea where he could be, since he seems not to be here. smilie

You have a very good idea with this site.

MessageVery good website!! It was easy to use and access. I was impressed with the amount of time and work you have put into this. More people should take hints from you about how to set up a site. Thank you for all of your hard work.
