MessageI have relatives buried in the east cemetary at B elmore. I'am trying to identify how they are related to me. Some of the old stones are hard to read. I don't know how to go about locating the records that would help me with this. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know. My grandparents are buried in the west cemetary at Belmore.

MessageGreat site! Re recent messages,Fanny Landis Varner and Isaiah Varner(born 1842) had ten children, including my grandfather Charles born 1872 and Jerry, born 1875. Asa Varner was Isaiah's brother. Asa born 1853. Asa and Isaiah were sons of Jacob Varner (born 1805) and Eliza Guyton (b.1814). Eliza was daughter of Vincent Guyton, born 1786 in Baltimore and granddaughter of Underwood Guyton, born about 1734 in Baltimore. Would love to see more photos of Varner graves. Thanks!!!

MessageHello,
This is a GREAT site. I actually took photos of some relatives and suspected relatives in several Putnam County Cemeteries and was thinking that someone should do something like this and you already have! I have photos of some of the people you have listed and would be happy to e-mail them to you so you can add them to the site. If anyone is looking for genealogy info I also have tons saved on ancestry.com especially the Nienberg, Crawfis, Agner, and Hermiller families. Thanks so much for you time & efforts. April

MessageHello,
I would like to complement you on your site and thank you for your work. Also, I wondered if you happen to have more records than is here online? I am looking for records for John Thrift and Sinah Ball Thrift. I am suspecting that they are buried in the Kalida Cemetery, Putnam County, Ohio. Also for William and Catherine (Ketura?) Phillips, which would be in that same area. Also, John Phillips and his wife, possibly Hannah or Harriet. I also wondered if there were any Barnes children buried in Pomeroy cemetery, along with their father (whom I know is buried there) Adam C. Barnes. Thank you for anything that you may have that can help me in my search.

MessageZoe, send me your email address, and when I locate those surnames, I will send you a message back.
Also, do you know of the villages your ancestors were from?
Those names are familiar in this area.

MessageCliff....need to correct...Jerry's father's name is Isaiah..not Pisiah, someone misread the census taker's handwriting. Isaiah and Asa are brothers, and their parents are Jacob & Eliza(Guyton)Varner. Jacob was born in Virginia in 1805 but lived in Putnam County by the time he was 55. I believe they are all buried at the Varner - West Cemetery. I was planning on going there tomorrow, to check on another stone to see if it was set upright after falling over. If I make it out there, I will get those pics, and post them to the site. Send me your email, and I will send the photos to you directly.

MessageCliff,
I also think that Asa Varner was Pisiah's brother, there parents were born in the same places. Mother in Maryland, and Father in Virginia. So maybe if we look in those states's census records, you may be able to find out for sure if they are brothers, then you may find the next generation.
