| Message | Cliff....need to correct...Jerry's father's name is Isaiah..not Pisiah, someone misread the census taker's handwriting. Isaiah and Asa are brothers, and their parents are Jacob & Eliza(Guyton)Varner. Jacob was born in Virginia in 1805 but lived in Putnam County by the time he was 55. I believe they are all buried at the Varner - West Cemetery. I was planning on going there tomorrow, to check on another stone to see if it was set upright after falling over. If I make it out there, I will get those pics, and post them to the site. Send me your email, and I will send the photos to you directly. |

| Message | Cliff, I also think that Asa Varner was Pisiah's brother, there parents were born in the same places. Mother in Maryland, and Father in Virginia. So maybe if we look in those states's census records, you may be able to find out for sure if they are brothers, then you may find the next generation. |
