| Message | Looking for frame off, high quality restored 1966. Want tropical turquoise or black, 360 or 375 HP, 4 speed. Older resto of different color that need repaint is option. Could also accept a NOM,427,454,502. Want a clean restored undercarriage, dont want to do body off, floor pans, sheet metal panels, etc. I'm 71 and cant do a full restoration anymore. Trying to recreate my L78 tropical turquoise that I owned back in 66'. Have only seen one over past 50 years so will probably have to repaint to achieve. Just sold a 1964 SS black on red with a 396 I built 6 years ago. | Message | Great site, read through all of it. I'm thinking about cutting my 2000 ragtop vette loose and picking up a 66 lemonwood 396 4spd chevelle, I don't want a show car but a real nice clean driver. The Canadian dollar is brutal right now, should have pulled the plug last year. I did find a 66 marina blue on blue in a barn out here, 1 owner, haven't seen it as of yet. |

| Message | I also have enjoyed the 1966 chevelle most of my life. I still own my 66 that I purchased in 1975 for $600 while in High School. I am currently restoring my car which has been in storage since nov 1975 when I enlisted in the US Navy (I drove it month in 1981). When I bought the car it was repainted dark red with a black vinyl top. The car is a completely original, numbers matching EG Code L78, M21 with 411 12 bolt rear. Options include buckets, console, tilt wheel and rear window defroster, I have since discovered that my car has a very odd original color combination. the body is Cameo Beige with the tan/beige vinyl top and the aztec bronze interior. I am excited to bring my car back to life after so many years to share with other chevelle enthusiasts. I am restoring this car as a numbers matching driver. I still have the original carb and NOS Exhaust which was in trunk of the car when I purchased it. |
