Favorite Muscle Car1967 Chevelle SS
MessageSite is excellent. I just found it a few nights ago. I am seriously in the market for a '67 Chevelle SS. Was browsing the Internet to check a few facts on one I have located in VA and cam across your site. I suspect I will shortly be ordering the Fact Book from you.

Favorite Muscle Car1967 Chevelle Malibu Convertible
MessageGood Morning,
I just happened across this site early this morning and must say that I am impressed with the cars that you have showing on your site. My 1967 convertible was purchased by my father when I was 15 and we restored it and he drove it around for several years. Originally a 283/Powerglide it still has the original buckets, console and tach on the dash with the turn signal in the bottom. When I was 22 I bought it from Dad, as he bought a 1969 SS 2 door hardtop - his dream car. I will be 45 in three weeks and the car will not be sold. Luckily my two boys (10 & 11) are keenly interested in my cars (69 SS ElCamino as well) so they will continue on with the passion.
I am going to order your fact book also as it will no doubt be a valuable resource for my family and friends to research our cars.
Thank-you!

Favorite Muscle Car1967 Chevelle SS396 L-78
MessagePurchased a new 67 Chevelle SS 396 L-78, M-21 4 spd, 3:73 posi as it fit in the very top of NHRA A/Pure Stock, it ran 14.4's first time out with 500 miles on the odometer. In 1968 added light dist. springs, removed the heat riser, changed to a M-20 4 spd and G-70x14 belted Mohawk tires, would go 13.9's @ 105 during the warm summer days and 13.7's @107 in the cool evenings. Went an absolute best of 13.54 @ 107 on a cool fall day just before I sold it.
The M-20 was worth about 0.4 seconds by itself in the quarter by just having the lower 1st gear, but was not as stout a gearbox as the M-21 or 22, (lower torque rated by the factory). A very quick, fun street car, never beaten in its class. Marina blue with a black bucket interior.
