MessageHello Croft,
I love to drive and camp in Mexico. We used to go to resorts in Mexico and I than fell in love with Mexico. Reading your comments about the $250,000 rigs conserns me.
We bought a Jayco eagle and a dodge 3500 ram. We love our unit, but it is on the bigger site.(39 feet)
Should we be conserend going to Mexico with this?
Our plan is to go to Ixtapa by the end of this year. Are there enough rv camps or should we make reservations?
Any comment or advise is very much appricated.
Happy camping/traveling,
Leo and Emmy Reus.

MessageHola, We've been in Cancun for almost a week. We are American retirees traveling alone in a pick-up with a truck camper. We've been following and enjoying your blog since before we left home. Your blog is very professional and your pictures are wonderful. We could not agree more with your comments about RV Caravans. I laughted so hard reading your comments aloud to my husband that tears were running down my cheeks and it took several attemps to complete it. Thanks too, for the tip on Los de Pescado.

MessageLove your site. We are planning a trip to Melaque as part of our Mexico tour Nov, 09 - Feb, 10. I read with pleasure of your stay in Melaque at the Laguna. I had read that they closed and it looks like they are now open.

How far were you from Melaque downtown? Did you bike to town or walk?

I visited Melaque many times over the years and this is the first in our RV. I was first in Melaque in the 1970s when they first built the road in from Guadalajara. Stayad at the now pancaked Melaque Hotel.

Were did you go from there? Where did you stay on the coast?

We are going to stay near the volcano near Colima/Camala and then head down to Melaque. Our trip will start in Nov in San Miguel/Queretero and then down to Morelia/Monarh butterflies, then to Chapala/Ajiijic/Guadalajara and on to Colima/Comala and then the coast.

I would appreciate any suggestions you might have for our trip. Thanks a lot.

Rick

p.s. Loved Merida and the Panama hats!

I was searching for information on Mexico travel Insurance and came across some very scary posts on our Escapees Discussion Board. I'm making my first Mexico RV trip in Feb and now I'm scared to death! smilie I have been invited my a friend and we will be traveling in the same rig. Your blog is beautiful, do you stay there full time? I really just scanned over your blog because my hands are shaking! We are leaving from Douglas AZ and travel Mexico 15. I do not know how many rigs are going. Thanks for your Blog
