MessageHi Croft,
I've left messages before, glad things went as okay as they could in Alberta. We've made the decission to leave Whistler for the Olympics. Could you email me as I have a few questions regarding Mexico, we've decided to go and we'll be naming our blog "Our Mexican Olympics", good title? I told my husband about how you might offend your neighbors in Arizona (re Bush) and we feel the same way. My husand is a retired Fire Fighter and strong union guy as am I.

Thanks
Kelly

MessageGreetings Croft & Norma,
A short note to say we enjoyed following your travels through Mexico this year. The loss of the air conditioner was unfortunate but it all seemed to turn out okay in the end. I just wanted to thank you folks again for putting us onto the Blogger site. We were able keep our family and friends "in the picture" with lots of pictures along with the description of our travels in the Sea of Cortez. I certainly found the Windows Live Writer a great tool! Being able to include the pictures with the text made publishing posts to the blog very simple.
All the best on your future travels with your "new" R.V.
Best regards,
Bob Beard

MessageLove the blog! I forgot to take you site with us on our Mexico this trip--kept wondering where you might be. Looks like you were only several days ahead of us in many places like Lake Catemaco, San Cristobal, Palenque, etc. Would have loved to see you all.
Often remember the fun we had watching the Primaries in the campground in San Miguel on your TV. Thank heavens Obama won! We campaigned all over Northern New Mexico this Fall. Discovered little hispanic villages around here we hardly knew existed. Doesn't feel quite so hard to come back to the ol USA now. George even took the maple leaf off his cap (his Canadian disguise). Maybe he took it off too early. Oh Well. Say hello to Norma. Maybe see you next year. Abrazos, Joyce

MessageA final word on the side swiping. You have probably concluded, as we did, that the driver who had signalled permission for our moving to the left lane saw an opportunity for his friend driving the scrap metal truck with the bent bumper and communicated with him. We have been traveling in Mexico for 15 years and have now been living here for several years, but this scam was new to us. A friend who also travels in Mexico said, however, that he had heard of such scams. But this behavior on the part of some less than honorable Mexicans does not diminish our love of Mexico. We also encountered for the first time on this trip a toll collector, on the Veracruz-Puebla autopista, who tried to cheat us, and a second collector on the same highway who succeeded in doing so, due to our moving on before examining the receipts and counting the change. This was, however, much less expensive than the scam we once experienced in Louisiana with a state policeman on the take. Adds to the interest of motorhome travel.
