MessageOne of these times you are going to get great news at your appointment and be told you are cancer-free. You are such strong person and I admire the grace you have handling each setback. I hope you had fun Halloween. We had a great turnout for our haunted house. When Scott edits his footage and puts it on YOutube, I'll send you the link. Our streets were filled with kids trick-or-treating and the neighbors have gotten so good at decorating their houses. It's like something you'd see in a movie. Scott had great fun scaring the kids and my nephew was excited to see some of them cry. Twisted family I have, I know. I'll post a picture of our ghouls when I get them downloaded so you can see the scary bunch. I'm going to assume you are in Houston for awhile since you seem to be having back-to-back treatments. Stay strong and focused and as always you are in my thoughts and prayers.

MessageAndy,

Thanks for the great tennis lesson. My head is filled with info from yesterday. God I hope I can remember it all until you get back here in a couple of weeks. By then, I will be able to kick your ass at ping pong too. Hopefully, you can get some practice in Houston, because you will need it...

MessageDear Andy,
I am aware you must be tired of hearing me compare your battle with my dad's but i just want you to know the intent is all positive. We were also very scared when we found the cancer had metastasized in my dad's brain but it actually turned out to be the most treatable. We know someone as young and strong as you will lick this in no time. Never forget the power of positive thinking and love!

Albert Einstein wrote; "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." Thank you not only for being a miracle in our lives but for showing us all how best to live.

Missed seeing you on your last visit.
Sincerely and with lots of love and prayers,
Darby smilie

I don't write often, but you and your family are always in our thoughts and prayers. We are so sorry about your most recent news. It is good to hear about all the new treatments that are available, and we are encouraged and hopeful that one day very soon you will get only good news.

MessageDear Andy
We are travelling at the moment. We just spoke to Simon and read your latest update. We are so sorry that you are going through such a tough time, with mixed news each time. It is encouraging that the recent treatments have had some positive effects, but it's not an easy opponent. We are so proud of you for your continuing courage in this battle. Stay strong.
Fondest wishes, John and Pat

MessageHi Andy-So sorry to hear about your brain metastases; it seems like it is one step forward, two steps back, and even though it is a blow, remember that you are going in the right direction. Keep your amazing positive attitude as strong as you can,it is your rock, with the help of all who love and support you. Live in each and every moment and find the gifts in them all, however elusive and challenging at times.
Dave and I were out of town when you were here last time, so we were sad that we missed you, but hope to catch you next time and please know that we think of you often and with mucho love and healing energy. Couragio!
love and hugs-
Dave and Tibby

MessageHi Andy,
I was playing tennis and saw a group of ladies wearing "Live Strong" shirts and asked them about the shirts. They told me they were wearing them for Andy Caress. I had not heard about your diagnosis until then. I know you do not know who we are but you swam on the Q.C. swim team at the same time as our daughter, Lauren did. I wanted to write to you to say stay strong we are praying for you.
