We have experienced melanoma 7 times in our family, as well as numerous basal and squamous cell carcinomas. All we have learned for sure is that the power of positive thinking and love can surmount any obstacle! | Message | Hey Andy, My husband (Art) and I play tennis with your Mom & Dad. I had to laugh when I read your update about meeting with Dr. Leming for the first time (Art's been seeing him for >15 years). If Dr. Leming was only 2 hours late, then it sounds like he was right on time--Dr. Leming has been known to be behind up to 4 hours or so. But he is the best oncologist around, so waiting is worth it because once you've got his attention, he will spend as long as you need answering questions or just talking things out. It sounds like you've got some great doctors on your side so I'm sure you'll be on your way to a full recovery soon. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as well. |
