Type of CancerLymphoma
MessageI had asked for prayers and good thoughts for my little Chloe in July. Sadly we lost her on Auguest 7th unexpectedly. This wasn't supposed to happen but unfortunately her cancer had spread to her lungs as well. The good news is that she was only sick for about 24 hours and it was very quick. For that I am grateful.
I want to thank everyone for your prayers and now I would like to ask for your help again. I am walking in a Marathon for Lymphoma, I started this in honor of Chloe but now am doing it in her memory. If you would like to donate to this cause please e-mail me and I will give you more information.
I will continue to pray for all of your babies and hope that you are able to enjoy their company for many years to come.
Thank-you all.
Vickie

BreedCocker Spaniel

Type of CancerSpleen
MessageWe had to rush my Cocker Spaniel rescue to the ER vet today bc of a distended abdomen, pale gums, lethargy. ER vet suspects spleen cancer based on Xrays and blood work. My sister is an internal med vet and agrees. Have him on IV fluids and antibiotics overnight; will take him to our vet Monday for ultrasound. Rescued him from the side of the road 18 months ago; severely matted fur (leaves and burrs embedded), not neutered. Collar (faded from sun), but no tags. I put signs up for a month to no avail. So I named him Chester, had him neutered and shaved. He is so loyal and appreciative of being rescued. Please pray for a good prognosis, even though this situation appears somewhat dire. Pray for no metastases or ruptured tumors. He is in pain. I will do what it takes to make him comfortable, and if chemo is indicated for quality of life, I will do it also. I have 3 other dogs (all rescue) and 10 cats (all rescue.) I also just lost my job, and so far we have racked up $1,000 in medical expenses that we do not have (I will be getting a severance check in 3 weeks that will more than cover whatever we need to do. . .but we don't have it today!) Please pray for all of us, and mostly for sweet Chester.

MessageMy buddy was just given his diagnosis and its not good. Ive had cow all of his life and he has been a huge part of mine for the last 7 years. The vet has recomended removing one of his hind legs and starting him on advanced chemo treatment. I'll do anything I can to make his last days on earth as happy and normal as they ever were but Im having a hard time deciding what is fair for him. Im hopeing that all your thoughts and prayers will reach cow and myself and help us make the right decision.

MessageMY LITTLE MAISY! The sweetest dog in the world. She loves to sniff flowers and watch the world go by while she lays on the front lawn - no fences, no shrubs- just lawn and sidewalk. The neighbors and all their children say hello to her as they walk by our home...I love her gentle loving nature...I love how the neighbors all comment on how wonderful she is...I love my little girl! Please pray that her chemo works (been receiving since 4/08)...she has recently had returned swelling in her lower jaw. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers - THANK YOU.

Type of Cancerliver
MessageOur beloved furkid "Ellie May" will be 12 in October...we were diagnosed a month ago that she may have liver/spleen cancer (per lab test, and mass found on xray). We were just devastated. She quit eating dog food 4months ago, we changed it over 10 times in those months...so that's when I took her to the vet. She is too weak to have expl. surgery to find out exactly where the cancer? is... so we are just treating her and loving her at home. We are feeding her baked chicken, total and cherrios cereal (which she loves), crackers, and anything she can tolerate. She's weak...inside dog now...because we live in the country and I'm afraid of coyotes getting her because of her frail condition. She still gets up and goes to bathroom, down steps, etc... so I know it hasn't gotten ahold of her completely. The first week was rough, high fever..just left her lifeless...but she fired back up again...she has more good days than bad days...and I know it's not "time" to let her go...so I asked the Lord to comfort her and if he should take her, to do so in her sleep, easily. I don't know how long she has had this...but just diagnosed a month ago...any suggestions on feeding info would help...I am still giving her the liquid iron, and lasik when her ankles start to swell. Her belly and ankles were swelling 10 days ago..but they have both gone down. Her breathing is just a little labored..but not struggling at all...just pray for our little "ellie may"...in Tennessee!
