BreedBeagle

Type of CancerLymphoma
MessagePlease pray for our 11 year old beagle Rocky. He was diagnosed in October 2008 & has been through more than 4 different protocols of chemotherapy. He achieved a remission in May 2009 that lasted 4 months. After relapsing in Sept 09, different protocols would work for 2-3 weeks, then the cancer would morph & become resistant. He had an emergency tonsillectomy in late Feb because the lymph nodes & tonsils had swollen so much that his wind pipe was basically blocked. He had one radiation treatment a week ago & it has had a miraculous effect in returning the lymph nodes in his neck to normal size, but all other lymph nodes throughout his body are still enlarged. He has lost several pounds & struggles daily w/ his appetite. We know he's already lived longer than the average dog w/ cancer, but we can't give up after all he's been through. He is such a trooper & our vets tell us he's still got fight left in him and not to give up. Please pray for him to achieve another remission.

BreedVizsla
StateIL
Type of CancerMCT & Osteosarcoma
MessageOur 8 year old Vizsla has had issues with Mast Cell Tumors. They were missed by several vets until we returned to the area. As we were uncomfortable with two (he had three then); we requested we requested the two "lumps" be removed during a routine dental cleaning.

Upon diagnosis; he was referred to an animal teaching hospital here, where he received excellent care. Four mast cell tumors were excised; followed by a round of mild chemo; which I combined with energy healing. All seemed fine until his one year "cancer-free" date; when he developed another MCT with cells in a nearby lymph node. We elected not to do surgery/chemo again. Once again, we conbined alternatives along with western medication.

His condition stablized and showed improvement upon his exam two months ago. Three weeks ago, he developed a lameness in a front leg. Due to his energy level and past history of overusage, the primary continued the traditional course. When the condition didn't improve, we took him to the teaching hospital. Our Vizsla has now been diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the proximal humerus. Along with the oncologists and based on past history of MCT's; we've elected not to amputate. Instead, we are making decisions as to how best provide palliative care for our pet.

He's receiving excellent care, but his time with us is short. Miracles do happen, and positive energy is a powerful thing; so if you'd please add us to your healing list, we'd appreciate it.

Thank you!

Type of CancerSarcoma
MessagePlease say a prayer for my best friend, Grumpus. A fine needle aspiration of a lump on his chest shows that he has some type of sarcoma. He will get a chest Xray in 2 days to see if it has spread to his lungs. If not, they will do a biopsy to see what type of sarcoma it is. He's the sweetest, funniest dog. I need him to be okay.
