Type of CancerMass Tumor in throat
MessageOur big baby, Leo, was diagnosed with a very aggressive mass tumor that is located in his throat. He has been having difficulty breathing because the tumor is rapidly crushing his trachea. We feel like we have been crushed ourselves. Leo is almost eight years old and even though we were told that the life span of a black lab was about eight years, we always thought Leo to be big and strong. We can not imagine our lives without him and this has been the saddest Valentines Day. Please pray for him, we need a miracle, even if only to make it through the night.......God bless all of you and your babies....

BreedGerman Shepherd
StatePennsylvania
Type of CancerMammary Gland
MessageOur German Shepherd, Sophie, 7-1/2, developed a couple lumps in abdomen. We thought nothing of them as she has benign cysts elsewhere. However, the one became the size of an orange and is hanging down. The other is connected to her abdomen. From the way the tumor spread from one gland to the other and the rate of growth, it is 99% certain they are malignant. We don't want to put her through the pain and fright of going through surgery since it is not going to change the outcome. She has no symptoms and we are praying that she live the rest of her life in peace and just quietly go to sleep when it's her time. My daughter had a similar situation with her dog & I am looking into whether steroids can shrink the tumor which is hanging down so her walking is not interfered with. She has been a constant, loving, and loyal companion. Thanks.

BreedShar Pei

Type of CancerMast Cell
MessageEllie was originally diagnosed with Stage II MCT. She currently has it in her inguinal and iliac (sp?) lymph nodes. We've tried Palladia, Vinblastine, and CCNU and are on our last chance med, the name of which escapes me at the moment. Please pray for Ellie and the family. Ellie doesn't seem to realize she is sick and that make it harder somehow to deal with.

Prayers to all of your fur babies and families.

Type of CancerOsteosarcoma (Bone Cancer)
MessagePlease pray for our biggest boy, he was diagnosed the week after Christmas and has been a real trooper. We have been using holistic treatments such as cottage cheese/flaxseed oil, Essiac Tea and other herbal supplements.

He has declined significantly in the last 3 days to where he can't walk to get up and go to the bathroom. Last night he barely ate and was in quite a bit of pain. We thought we would have to do the unthinkable and were up with him all night. I prayed for him throughout the night. He rallied this morning and has been sleeping comfortably and eating well.

If you could please add him to your praryer list perhaps our combinjed praryers will give us the miracle we are praying for.

Thank you!

Breedbeagle/German shepherd
StateIL
Type of Cancerbladder cancer
MessageMongo was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer after being treated for a bladder infection because or murination difficulty. He is currently being treated with pyroxicam which seems to be shrinking his tumor and keeping him comfortable. He is able to urinate more than he was before.

You would not know anything is wrong at the moment if you did not know his diagnosis; he runs laps around the house after being outside and triumphantly parades around with his doggie bone, daring ytou to try to take it away from him. He barks at every outside sound he hears, especially the newspaper guy and the postman.

Our prayer is that his life may be comfortable until our son, his owner can return from Scotland in Sept. to see him. We, his "grandparents" are lovingly caring for him in the meantime.

Our son needs to decide whether to give him chemo treatments, or to let his life continue with the piroxicam.

Please pray that Mongo's life may continue to be comfortable and that we can make the best decision for his continued treatment.
