| Message | After my Grandma passed away last year, we took in her papillion "Toutou". I had grown up with this dog (she's 10yrs, I am now 20) She had been through so much after loosing her best friend, and we lived in an apartment, so we tried giving her to a good home. She refused to eat or drink, so we went and picked her up. We fought with our apartment building for 4 months, until they kicked us out! So, we MOVED to keep our 10lb bundle of joy! She has been so happy here, and we love her immeasurably. Last month, she hit her cheek, and it swelled. The vet discovered it was an abscessed tooth, and we had it removed. Unfortunately, the swelling got worse...not better. We took her again yesterday thinking maybe she fractured something, or there was still an infection that the antibiotics weren't fixing. They did an X-ray. They vet came back with the worst news possible...Bone cancer. She is so full of life otherwise, and we can't imagine having to put her down. He told us chemo etc wouldn't be worth while, it would only extend her life a little. I couldn't put her through chemo for my selfish reasons....but how on earth can we say goodbye now? We only just got her :( Please keep us in your thoughts! Thank you |
