MessageYesterday our sweet Emmett passed away at 11 years old. After 7 long months of struggle, he was put to sleep in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family that loved him. Emmett is the sweetest and most loyal dog. Losing him has felt like I lost a piece of myself. He will be greatly missed. Please pray that he finds peace and happiness again. That he is no longer in pain or suffering. He will forever be in our hearts. We love you Emmett!!!

Type of CancerSarcoma (mouth)
MessageAt 14 1/2 our black pug Shadow is an elderly statesman who is going strong but has a cancerous mass in his mouth that cannot be surgically removed and impedes (but does not stop!) his ability to eat. He was diagnosed two weeks ago and we are looking into treatment options (chemo, holistic). We are still a bit in shock. THANK YOU for praying for his full healing, and for our comfort and peace and persistence in caring for him. He is my daughter Elizabeth's baby and she is worried but fierce in determination to help her "pug buddy" get well.

Type of Cancerlymphoma
MessageOur beloved 10yr old Boston Terrier Jack was diagnosed with stage 5 lymphoma a week ago. Chemo isn't an option, so we are just giving him prednisone to keep him comfortable. I was told he has 3 weeks to live. I am beyond devastated as I thought we had many more years. I got Jack a few months after my dad Jack died. I have always felt he was a gift from my father and this loss of my boy hurts so much. He is such a sweet boy and has been my love since the moment he arrived. My heart is broken. Please pray that he has a peaceful, pain-free passing. I am so worried that he will have pain. Thank you for your prayers.

MessagePlease pray for our sweet Patty who is 9 years old. She is such a stoic girl and such a wonderful companion to small children and great watchdog. I will need prayers to know how far to let her go before considering to put her to sleep. I don't want her to suffer too long and I know I will see her again.
Thank you so much.

Type of CancerHemangiosarcoma
MessageRescued from a pound in 2004, my beautiful Gypsy had a tumor burst on her spleen and internal bleeding on March 17, 2013. She had a wonderful surgeon and her life expectancy was given as 2 weeks to 3 months. Seven months later, my faithful friend is now experiencing trembling and bouts of rapid panting. She does not seem to be in pain but her energy level is slowing. I have prayed every morning and night that the Lord would be merciful in taking her. Please pray with me that her trip to heaven will be smooth and joyous for her. She has been my companion and treasure through an abusive marriage, divorce, and recovery. I have cried with her, prayed with her faithfully beside me, and told her my deepest thoughts and fears. I will miss her so very much. I pray for your families as well as we all face letting our sweet friends end their lives. Every day a gift.

MessagePlease pray for my beloved Rochester. He is not quite 11-1/2 years old. I just discovered a tumor on the roof of his mouth last night and the vet says nothing can be done. Just yesterday, Rochester was chasing chipmunks in my yard. He has a great appetite. He has had chronic, old-age issues for some time but nothing that worried the vets. This just seems so unbelievable. Rochester has the bravest heart. He has been my rock for so many years. When I lost my Mom and my other beloved dog not long ago, Rochester was there for me with such empathy and devotion. It is not an overtatement to say he saved my life. I would be so appreciative of your prayers. Thank you -- and my heartfelt sympathy to all who are going through this with their canine sons and daughters. It is one of the very worst heartaches we can experience in this life.

Type of CancerMultiple myeloma
MessageMy beloved 9 year old Golden Retriever, Beau-Joy, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in June 2012. After almost 9 months in remission she relapsed. Multiple skin lesions began to appear and a large lesion on her right ulna appeared to be splintered. The bone has been completely destroyed and a pathological fracture is imminent. After trying 3 different chemotherapy regimes, the skin lesions are shrinking and there is no evidence of new lesions. Unfortunately, the bone lesion is more difficult to manage, and the imminence of a fracture makes this an acute situation. Beau is a poor candidate for amputation since her platelets are extremely low. We have been referred to Washington State University School of Veterinary Medecine for a radiation consult. This seems to be our only option. Please pray for Beau. She is so full of life, young at heart and wants to be everyone's best friend. It wil be a trial for us as we will be making 5 hour road trips to the campus if she is considered a good candidate. I love her so much, I know I speak for all of you that have an abiding love for your precious companions. For what it's worth, I know God loves our pets as much as we do and He trusts and gives us charge over their care, what a blessing! I leave you all with this "All thing bright and beautiful all creatures great and small
All things wise and wonderful, The Lord, God made them all.
