| Message | Hi,
Your web site was given to me by a friend, Penny Henderson and I am just now beginning to check it out. I am so sorry about your breast cancer. I have not read much, yet but will..... the reason I am writing is that I too, have lobular carcinoma but when they removed two lumps from my left breast (and one from my right breast), they said the margins were clear so I didn't have any further treatment. I do go for yearly mammograms, opted to not take Tamoxifen for a number of reasons, and I will soon be due to go back for another mammogram and I am so frightened! I had my surgery on the left breast in 2005 and in 2006, they noticed something 'suspicious' but nothing was done, for some reason? still not sure why. When I got my mammograms done last year, they said there was no change. I can always kind of forget about it until that time rolls around again and then I am so frightened. I too, am a believer. God has always had his hand on me all my life and I am praying that I will feel at peace and not be so scared!!
Two friends recently had double mastectomies and I am helping one of them weekely so see what she is going through. Her chemo begins next month.
I just had to reach out to you. If you don't mind, could you e-mail me and tell me a little about your story as far as the lobular carcinoma goes - my understanding is that is the better type to have; better than ductal carcinoma. I am at the end of my 'word quota" I see! Dee Lakes |
