A few days ago I made a bucket list (I'm only 18). But it said to write my al time hero a fan letter. It so happens to be you, mr Aronofsky. My only heroes are artists. My favourite art is films. And you are my favourite director.

I love the simple shots you sometimes use, with such a grand impact. The way you make actors relive a life on cam.

Your movies are like tatooages. It is art that sticks with you forever.

I hope you read this, and please, by al means continue making me fall in love with the art of moving pictures.

That’s the first time I’m writing a letter to a man I’m not familiar personally with. I suppose my letter will become a banal duplicate of messages you receive every day, but the desire to write is stronger than me. Sometimes … almost all the time it seems to me that life passes by-an absolute predictability of next day make me have a profound respect for people like you - talanted, successful, outstanding. I suppose the main thing while watching a film is to forget your name,your origin,your job - forger everything and vanish into the performance. When it works it seems to me that’s a good film, that‘s a real magic. A man… I think everybody needs something to believe in, something to adore, something that makes them wake up in the morning. So, the aim of my message is to say thank you for what you do, for what you‘ve done and what you will create in future.
