MessageDear Darren
I just wathed your magnificent movie "Black Swan". I shocked by that badly. only thing i could do was bending respectfully in front of screen and clapping for about 2 or 3 minutes for your film.if "wrestler" was a good movie,"black swan" was God movie!! i'm still shocked. thank you for sharing your world with us.

MessageI’ve never written to congratulate a director before, but Black Swan has made such an impact on me that I wanted to do so today. I saw Black Swan only once, over a month ago, and it haunted and inspired me for the following week. Prompted by seeing a DVD of another of Tchaikovsky’s ballets, I have just played the music of the Finale from Swan Lake, and found that even with considerable distance from the experience of the film, Black Swan has made that music incredibly poignant and moving, putting my daily stresses into a very different perspective. I think it’s incredible that the film could be so gripping in the instant, and also that the psychological influence has endured so strongly. So, like many people it seems, I'm bowled over by your work: congratulations on your masterpiece!

MessageBlack Swan...moving, disturbing, very real. Unlike the white swan...innocent, pure...some might even say angelic....her twin, the black swan is evil, dark...ok some people can not handle the truth, but the truth is (my interpretation) that life is like both swans...in this particular piece of motion picture Darren A, takes us into Ninas' life. A thin, fragile, little creature who is the victim of sexual abuse by the hands of her mother. Black Swan makes you go deeper, makes you take stock if you will. Did anyone ever notice how Nina would constantly put objects up to the door to protect herself??? Black Swan, a motion picture dark gem about characteristics of those sexually abused, and their evil predators (the abusers themselves) Not the film to watch if you're unprepared to think, taking a look at yourself and those around you.

MessageSadly my 1st language is french so I won't be able to fully express how I loved Black Swan.
I would say this is truly cinema, as in art. Not the usual hollywod junk which made me leave movie theaters and become more and more hesitant went I rent movies. I chose yours because I love Vincent Cassel, but from now on, I will also look for Darren Arofonofsky and hope you will continue to create art pieces on this on's level.
Thanks,
and the end was beautiful. By the way, I'm not a ballet fan at all (except for Nutcracekr around Christmas...) but you almost gave me the taste for it.
