| Message | Very excited to see your upcoming film on Noah. Just wanted to mention something that many people miss about the Biblical flood. It is recorded that water also came from out of the earth. Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. I only mention this because not only does it make more sense that it would cause a more catastrophic flood, but it would be an amazing cinematic effect to see walls of water shoot out of the ground perhaps miles high from such pressure. Don't mean to be pretentious, but just thought I'd share that. Love your work, Darren. Can't wait to see the film. |

| Message | Hi Darren, I heard you are going to direct the "Noah" movie. I am working at the URI. Dr. Ballard, the discoverer of "Titanic", is a scientist at the URI. One of his recent discoveries is that the Great flood has been in the Black sea. Please, see below. It may help you Black Sea deluge hypothesis From Wikipedia, The Black Sea deluge is a catastrophic rise in the level of the Black Sea circa 5600 BC due to waters from the Mediterranean Sea breaching a sill in the Bosporus Strait. The hypothesis made headlines when The New York Times published it in December 1996, shortly before it was published in an academic journal Flood hypothesis Black Sea today (light blue) and in 5600 BC (dark blue) according to Ryan and Pitman's hypothesis. In 1997, William Ryan and Walter Pitman published evidence that a massive flooding of the Black Sea occurred about 5600 BC through the Bosporus, following this scenario. |
