MessageI'm only doing this cause I have way too much free time at the moment. I sold my entire collection of DVDs last night so I can do some food shopping, barring 4 DVDs (Pi, American History X, Where the Wind Blows and Black Cat White Cat). That just made me wonder if you would ever consider directing an adaptation of JG Ballard's The Drowned World with Ed Norton as the star. Anyway, love your work, sir. Looking forward to your upcoming projects.

MessageOh, and by the way, the forum is down, and clicking the 'fountain commentary' link on the front page gives me an error

'404: Page not found

Troubleshooting suggestions:

Ensure the page you are linking to exists in the correct folder.

Check your file name for case sensitivity . Index.htm is not the same as index.htm!

MessageWow, there are still websites with guestbooks? I thought they died off with geocities :)

Anyway, just wanted to say that I saw a clip from The Fountain of youtube, and liked it enough to buy the DVD.

Quite a good movie, overall, and I thought the use of macrophotography was well done.

MessageI dont know if you ll ever read this but i just thought i should tell you that I fell in love with your style of filming with requiem for a dream and immediately related to the story of these individuals. Now i find myself in the same place with The Fountain, even though its been six years since the film came out. when i first saw it i knew it wasnt gonna be well sought out by everyday film critics because they are so blind by all the surrounding factors when it comes to critique of a film. So obviously they werent gonna give it the credit it deserves. i downloaded the film originally without any idea what it was about just that it was your film. i was immediatley hooked in and was in a trance. the ideas portrayed in this film are amazing. than i bought it and it sat on my shelf. now i am in a place where things arent always available and dug out and fell in love once again and have easily watched it now 20 times. clinging on to the ideas and themes, "Death is the road to awe" and "Everything will be alright" are examples of things in life im no longer afraid of. to tell you the truth. if i could ask for anything it would be to hear from you not read from websites but from you about the meaning behind this film. im not rich and cannot afford schooling right now but i will be a future film maker. youve inspired me more than you could ever know with The Fountain. Excellent film. Thank You
