| Message | Hello all you AGING fans of 'il maestro' ! I sent this letter to Hank Marvin last November, addressed to his Nivram recording studio in Perth, hoping he'd get it and respond (but still no joy...). Anyone know how to reach him by snailmail ? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dear Hank I still listen to the old Shads stuff, as well as your beautiful solo albums which accompany my daily Pilates excercises (I suffer from 5 slipped discs...regretfully NOT Golden ones like yours...) But my Dream of all dreams would be to hear you play, or record, a dreamy Hankish rendering of that haunting theme song 'Now We are Free' from The Gladiator, penned by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard. This song MUST surely have been written just for you, but since you haven't recorded it yet - the melody is still patiently awaiting its culminating moment of Strato-glory ! Come on Hank ! Do your magic stuff one more time please ! Please...! |

| Message | Hello Niels, I like your Site! I'm a Shadows fan too from the beginning and play guitar since this time. I also like a lot of other guitar players, but the Shad-Instrumentals are forever in my heart. You can find me as "Mr Guitar" on the Homepage of "my" record company www.jaykay.de with a lot of own compositions and cover titles, all instrumentals. In this year I will produce a new album with own instrumentals. This album I will send to Hank in Perth on his next bithday javascript:SetSmiley('%20 %20'(but I know from my uncle that the jehovas winesses dont celebrate birthdays). However I will do it, I'm a crazy Hank fan like you! Greeting from germany to denmark, Erwin |
