MessageHi all - I wrote 'Theme For Peace' (click the 'homepage' link) in 1994. The home recording isn't amazing, but I'd love to have heard how the maestro himself would have tackled it. (Dream on Fidycat !)
All the best from Scotland...

MessageHi.

Hank you are, off course a Master at what you do, and what you play, There must be hundreds of youtube videos, DVD's, tutorials and books teaching what you play and how to get get the perfect "Shadows" sound, but I have never seen YOU actually showing/explaining/teaching your music.
I think it would be a great tribute to you and the shadows to whatch the master teach the pupils.
Thanks for so many years an so many songs. You are a grest part of history and what we have today is a result of you great talent. Thanks for being who yu are and doing what you do.

Messagestarted listening to heavy metal and seeing a magazine about style an article about Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath influences on guitarist Hank discovered marvim and the shadows, the songs are simply maravilhosas.não play guitar professionally and did little class time but today the goal and have a red guitar model fender hank. simply the hank and one fender and a perfect married, and have sold many fender vermelhasem doubt and because of a fender hank never been treated so well.

MessageHello all you AGING fans of 'il maestro' !
I sent this letter to Hank Marvin last November, addressed to his Nivram recording studio in Perth, hoping he'd get it and respond (but still no joy...). Anyone know how to reach him by snailmail ?
Dear Hank
I still listen to the old Shads stuff, as well as your beautiful solo albums which accompany my daily Pilates excercises (I suffer from 5 slipped discs...regretfully NOT Golden ones like yours...)

But my Dream of all dreams would be to hear you play, or record, a dreamy Hankish rendering of that haunting theme song 'Now We are Free' from The Gladiator, penned by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard.
This song MUST surely have been written just for you, but since you haven't recorded it yet - the melody is still patiently awaiting its culminating moment of Strato-glory !

Come on Hank !
Do your magic stuff one more time please ! Please...!
