MessageHi there, I totally sympathize with your Maille cravings. I'm off to Europe in mid-July, back by the end of the month. If you like, I'll bring back a couple jars for you (I know the kind you mean--the ridged bottom that makes it usable as a drinking glass) and mail it to you once I'm stateside again.

MessageHi Marla,

I know! Actually she's been bumped from Saturdays starting NOW, March 1st!!! She has a new show on tomorrow, Sunday at 10, but then that looks like that's it. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, but we can still be unhappy.

smilie

MessageNot only has Ina been bumped from Saturdays, as of March 31, BC will be shown Monday-Friday at 5:00 p.m. and Sundays at 10:00 a.m. No more 12:00 noon shows. Her FN page does promise new episodes beginning in the fall. Ina's FN contract runs through 2008. I've wondered if she had some assurance from the FN that she'd be re-signed before she built the barn/kitchen. In one interview, she talked about taking out a huge mortage and, as we know and love, Ina goes first class all the way. At the moment, I'm not a happy camper!

MessageI lot of chefs diss Racheal Ray. The show is called "30 Minute Meals" and/or "Racheal Ray".
It's not an elegant/exotic meals show.

I've cooked some of her stuff, and it's tasty and filling. Bourdain hates her because she says stuff like "just use plain old mustard from the fridge...".

People diss hotdogs - but Anthony eats virgin pig butt.

I like Bourdain - he in his youth reminds me of a few of my good friends - all of us indulging our senses just a few years before he started..
