MessageMy dad John M. Padgett, Jr. served on the USS Randolph In 1962 to 1964. He was on her during the Cuban crisis. I enjoyed and still do listening to his stories of his time spent on the Randolph and he is proud to have served on her.

MessageI was invited to be a guest on the Uss Randolph when it visited Northern Ireland in 1966 when I was a teenager. I am trying to remember the name of the man who invited me onto the ship. He was something to do with the helicopters, I think. Would be grateful for any info. I still have the photographs from that time.

MessageMy dad, A. Leo Coyle served aboard the Randolph in the mid-50s -- 1955. He was an ensign - the supply officer (paymaster) on board. I believe he served at the same time as Bill Marriott (founder of the hotel chain). My dad passed away in January 2014 after a battle with melanoma. He always spoke fondly and often of his time serving aboard the Randolph and of his entire naval career. He retired as Captain after 31 years in the reserves. I have been looking up information on the Randolph and watching whatever video clips I can find on Youtube. I'd love to connect with any of those who served with or remembers my dad from that tour on the Randolph to learn more about the important time in my father's life.
