| Message | Forsberg over Langkow was a risk vs reward pick that still might pan out. But yeah Langkow is a solid player. Stastny was one of 2 first overall picks, the best things I got out of this process, both of which I traded down for better things. (although early signs show Stastny as much better than I thought, I still like my end of the deal.) As for Dan keeping his assets, I agree, I made a big deal with him under the impression that the redraft picks I was getting were much more valuable then they actually were. He then told me the details of the prospect draft the next day and I would've reversed the deal if I could in an instant. As for the expansion process on the whole you listed one borderline bad choice that was actually expansion related. You are ignoring the fact that I offered the choice of the scraps from two GM's teams in the 2nd expansion pick nevermind the third for any 4th round redraft pick this year or next, and noone bit. I didn't expect you to make me a contender, but at least the ability to pick my own guys rather than be stuck with their waste and have to drop them first before I can even move on. The problem Kernel, is that you have one of the deepest teams so the value you gave up was way higher which distorts your perception of the expansion draft. It looks fair to you cause you had to give up so much... put yourself in the other GM's shoes and you'd be laughing at the choices you could leave me with. p.s. I love banter and this pool. |

And how Dan managed to keep almost all his valuable assets is beyond me. And Stastny wasn't a good building block?? If you want to start a brawl, that's fine. | Message | Goon, if you want to start a keeper pool on the side I'd be happy to wipe the floor with you. As for this pool, obviously I'm going to be last for a couple of years, but that's thanks to the expansion rules that you guys made. It's nothing to do with my GM abilities. Even when you came into this pool as an expansion team ( and then folded and restarted ) you had better rules and more depth than I have to work with ( I know cause I've seen the draft rosters). I had to start this pool with a team half full of crap that YOU drafted, guys that I couldn't even trade to ANYONE for LAST PICK OVERALL. Talk big while you can Goon, cause you won't know what hit you when you're settling into 4th place for the 5th year in a row and my rebuilding is complete. Here's to first pick overall! Cheers!  |

Thinking that your going to get another GM to bite on a depth defenceman after 2 good weeks, well your dynasty of finishing last is going to last a lot longer than any of us imagined. As I found out last year, just because Recchi is being dragged around the ice in a wheelchair by Crosby doesn't make him a hot commodity. He went the final 23 games of last season on Crosby's wing without a goal! Goalies are a dime a dozen so forget that one. That being said, I hope you get a truck load of assets for those 3 from someone. |

| Message | Funny coming from you, Spacek is 2nd in the league for Dman. Miles ahead of all of your Dmen except Cory Murphy... where did you find him again? Recchi is still with Crosby... and anyone who thinks that lines gonna stay cold is a worse GM than whoever it was that traded Alfredson  .And Khabibulin could help a team with goalie troubles as Toews and Kane are bringin the Hawks to a whole new level of respect... :D and I own Toews and Kane. |
