| Message | This is the best Goon and I have gotten along since Duke's last birthday party! I agree... the picks to bring up prospects is a great part of this pool. Also that balance of picks so that it's difficult to manage bringing your prospects up within the three years has been pretty fun for me in the last season and a bit... Keep the picks tight enough that that remains a challenge for rebuilding teams... Kessel to the Leafs for Kaberle and the 7th pick would be crazy... Bad for the Leafs and Bad for Chowtown... trades Crosby for his favorite Bruin and he doesn't even get a game in on his FHL team before being moved to losertown. ![]() |

| Message | I can only speak for myself, as I am extremely interested in this situation. I for one dont like the idea of no picks used to bring up prospects. |

| Message | I like the idea of more picks but thinking that may be too many, how about an allowance for bringing up your prospect at no cost of a pick, that's realistic. Interestingly, I'm interested in what you guys think about this and if you don't respond to my interests I will assume you are uninterested or don't have a vested interest. ![]() |

| Message | re: spreadsheet: "khabibulin to dukes for phil's third rounder as completion of futures on the sedin deal." as posted on the BB on feb 28th. This deal never got updated on the spready... so I should have the first pick in the 3rd round this year. |

| Message | I find it interesting that we have not heard from GM Epp or Neufeld yet. Are they not as interested as the other GM's? |

| Message | First of all I'm gonna scratch all of this and say the best way to increase interest is to propose rule changes... Add my vote to not adding three rounds... I was trying to keep my suggestions close to what Rob had originally proposed... but if we're starting from scratch... I'll propose just moving the midseason to early december and adding the extra round there with the Prospect bench option. The other route to look at that has been touched on is: We protect X players and the rest go back into the redraft... this is a common format in Fantasy pools and might refresh the draft each year as well as closing the gap... that said I don't like it cause teams have worked hard to get where they are... Dan your idea sucks and I expect more from you The final rankings do not always reflect team depth... if the cutoff is at 10 it is possible that the 4th place team gets screwed worse than the top 3 teams in which case it isn't closing the gap but widening it... etc. I agree with whoever said not too many changes is better so we can see what is working what isn't etc... plus this pool is setup great as is and I personally am a fan of the long term rebuild pools... but I can see how it would suck for some to just realize they need to enter that phase. |
