| Message | When the Eppsters went into rebuilding mode nearly two years ago, the plan was to create a team that would be competitive in the FHL 09/10 season. That strategy still stands. Since the Eppsters have no captains left, they will be making an announcement in coming days of who will wear the "C" and "A's" for the team. |

| Message | i love deals.. chris has some depth on forward with eriksson and huselius on the bench, so the 3-for-2 to upgrade spezza with thornton and stastny with gaborik looks good.. short term for sure, but the eppsters are 20 points out and he probably saw an opportunity with a crippled dukes lineup.. gagne's hard to peg a value on due to his ability to get injured.. ward may have been sold a little cheap in the deal b/c he was only a bench player.. a component of the deal that may haunt them a year or two from now.. but short term, a nice push.. phillies do a nice job of aligning their top player with their core age bracket.. |

| Message | all right... I'll bite... I don't think adding Thornton to your roster can ever be written off in this pool... unless one of the big 3 were involved which they weren't... Thornton is the 4th best F in this league... (maybe 5th behind Filatov  )... That said, the Phillies are proud to welcome Spezza, Stastny, Ward and Gagne into the organization... for now... we'll see who lasts the week...  |
