MessageFor the record - I like the development of the rivalry between the Phillies and the Farmhands!

The expansion question - I'm actually on the fence with this one. (yes my franchise would possibly have the most to gain from such a move), but in the past I have been against it because I felt it watered down the talent pool a tonne. I wasn't a big fan of having to draft players like Draper.

Messagethe 7 dancing men was an indication that I was joking...

after clearing one thing up I'm gonna let this go :D

Every GM in this league knows there is no way that I could be accused of inactivity or a lack of response.

MessageThought the bitter sting would be gone by now Phil. Not to rehash the whole episode but i did give you a heads up a trade was iminent and that we should talk. You were apparently busy so i went with the better offer. Are we heading towards a Kevin Lowe- Brian Burke relationship now?

MessageProblem with new guys is you put in an offer on a guy and then they just trade the guy to their friend without getting back to you...

Fun race still... great to see that the Dukes haven't got the pool locked up yet unlike the last couple years when it was over before it started...

He's still far and away the favorite to repeat though and no I'm not playing underdog.

MessageI realize being the new guy my vote may not carry as much wieght, but i would have no problem with expansion.Adds another dimension to the pool(ie. who to protect or not in a expansion draft). A larger pool would make 30 point d-men and 50 point aging forwards more valuble, which would be great news for the Blazers.

Messagei think there should be a limit to one church friend per GM. this could be an elaborate scheme to unit the Sedins.

MessageI've always been happy to expand...the depth of talent is relative. Of coruse there is enough players to fill out our rosters - we still only have a third as many teams as the NHL.
However, a 50 point guy becomes more valuable in expansion, that's all.

MessageI guess we can plunge the depths of the NHL to find 27 more players. Just have to look a lot further down the depth chart. It might actually make those 4th round picks useful.

Plus, it's easy to add a couple new columns to the spreadsheet smilie The only negative I see is that the actual process of expansion is a pain in the butt.

My early thought is a 'meh, why not' vote

MessageI am proceeding and bringing up the topic of expansion again. Every Sunday at Church I have the same discussion with an extremely eager possible FHL GM on how badly he wants in the FHL. Every week I tell him the same thing, about how I am all for it, but it needs to be brought forward for a discussion and approval. No one I talk to about the structure of our league buys the argument of not enough dmen or goalies, and neither do I, so I welcome discussion on the topic of FHL expansion. Personally, I think 10 teams would be great.

MessageMy bad math, I gave Thomas credit for wins in addition to the shut-outs.
Still he'd have 21 points.
Yes, I may need to welcome him back into my fold.
Colour me shamed.
