MessageI can attest to the pain that Rob went through over the last few days. During our last phone conversation, he likened it to an elderly man grieving over his longtime wife's death and the difficulty of walking away from the casket for the final time.

As far as value, players are only worth what people will give up for them. Who else is Rob going to trade with? Goon and Phil have minimal things of interest or availability. No one wants to trade with Dan(sorry Dan, but its true until you lose again). The returns were fair given the players age and/or current output and other relevant trading options.

Messagei always enjoyed working with GM Epp. i hope the new regime with be as easy to get along with..

Collin can you change the transaction page and draft page? Epp Sr had the Martin futures nixed, so i believe the swap has me receiving his 1112 4th rounder, not 1213 4th.. thx

Messagelmao nicely done...

So Rob, I can understand how you might not be familiar with rebuilding because you've always been at the top of the heap... but isn't the idea that you trade away your players for good young talent or picks that will help you turn the corner in the future?

Message"I always planned to turn the franchise over to my son," said Epp "but i had to wait until he was old enough to accept the awesome responsibility. He recently turned two and it's clear, he's ready to take this on."

Finn Lee-Epp's tenure as Eppsters GM is effective immediately and he's expected to move into his new office right after nap time.

Message(CP) - CHRIS EPP STEPS DOWN, TURNS REIGNS OVER TO TWO-YEAR-OLD SON.

(Calgary) Eppsters GM and CEO Chris Epp announced today that he stepping down as GM and CEO of the FHL franchise he started a decade ago.

Epp denied rumors that he'd been forced out of the top job.

"The time has come for my to take on new challenges," said Epp. "This isn't about whether I'm good enough to run the team or whether or not my son changed the locks to my office when I was out for lunch. This is about what's best for the Eppsters franchise."

Epp announced that his son Finn will take over the franchise.
Finn, who recently turned two, expressed excitment at the opportunity.

"MILK! More MILK! Kitty say meow" said Finn, when reached by reporters.

GM Epp has been under increasing scrutinty this year as the Eppsters fell to last place in the FHL standings, a suprise to some within the organization who expected to challenge for third place this year.
The team's failure also comes in the first year of new FHL rules, supported by GM Epp, that would see greater payouts to winners and a greater financial burden to losing teams.
During his last month on the job, GM Epp engaged in several deals, moving several players including Eppsters Assistant Captain and leading scorer, Joe Thornton.

NameGM Blazer - press release

MessageIn a monumental development in the FHL yesterday - a trade marked the end of an era for a franchise that strove to be continual competitive and in the hunt for a title. GM/Owner Brown of the Blazers made the decision this past month when it became obvious that the club could no longer remain a threat to challenge the younger clubs in the league.

In the 10 years of the existence of the FHL the Blazers have finished as low as 3rd only once. All the other years they have finished first or second. But with that choice to remain competitive every year came at a cost. The club was left with no prospects or youth to usher them into the future.

The Blazer's franchise wish to apologize to their fan base for this "blow-up" and hope they will stick with the club because it looks to be many, many season before they become competitive once again.

MessageQuite a month indeed.
It is interesting to see the Eppsters and Blazers dynasties being forced into rebuilding phases.

For years, the Eppsters and Blazers were synonomous with victory...in fact, all of the first six championships were won be one of them.
