I'm studying to be a Music teacher at the University of Miami and stumbled across your website. Your aim to help choirs with changing voices is a great idea and I will definitely be using your repertoire in the future.
I teach middle school (6th-8th grade) vocal music. My singers are coming to me with little or NO choral experience. I am basically building a program from scratch. I am looking for 2 pt music that is truly for males on the lower part and females on the upper; and more traditional 3 pt music with very approachable voice leading in all three parts and of course the limited range in the lower voice.
holiday fun songs to feature just our guys section. 5 unchanged (Sop?); 5 def. changed new Baritone and 5 boy altos. This is the first time in 15 years that I have deep voices in sixth grade. I may use traditional SAC for my chorus -- I have 35 girls and the above 15 boys who may be that cambiata. i hope this makes sense. School phone 845-355-5200. I direct a sixth grade chorus with 15 guys and i want to keep them excited about chorus; I also have 35 girls -- I have not divided them yet; probably 15 sops and 20 altos. School started 2 days ago. Thanks, Dan Bradley.
I have a mixed beginning choir (7th) grade, and a mixed 8th and 9th grade choir. I have an arrangement of Vivaldi's Gloria from you guys that I'm planning on using. Would love to see some other arrangements! Thanks!
