MessageI will be teaching 8th grade chorus this year. I taught these students last year and moved up with them this year. Next year I will teach another 7th grade chorus and the following year I will move up with them again.

Most of the boys in chorus last year had not gone through the voice change or were in the beginning stages, however at the end of the year I had two boys that had developed a lower voice, so as a typical junior high choir I have voicings all over the place. Getting the boys to sing confidently was a problem. I had arranged music for them, but they did not want to sing out.

I am looking forward to getting some music that will be better suited for them that I don't have to arrange
