| Message | Thanks Naledi ![]() Yes, Thranduil cannot just gloss over it, he really really has to mean it and he has to show it. I don't know if he's ready for what he's decided to undertake, but it's too late to back out now. Knowing Legolas, he will eventually accept the situation but he will not be giving Thranduil any benefit of the doubt. We'll see if the King can prove his worth and rise above all this misery and bitterness he's been harbouring for so long. I agree Elladan is in such a difficult place. The anger he feels for his father needs an outlet. He's truly the most despondent of all of them, seeing the darkness that has engulfed Erestor and Legolas, seeing its impact on Thranduil and Greenwood, seeing his father as its source. I think he will stay in Greenwood and Lorien for a long time to come, unwilling to go home. Thank you so much for all the kind words. Like you, I think it is high time Legolas and Erestor had a joyful time together. I will make sure it is not like the gruelling bonding scene we already watched. Legolas is very vulnerable; Erestor is terrified of hurting him. We'll see if we can get them past all that somehow.thanks again :D |

| Message | Great to see another chapter of Feud! Hopefully I won't clog up your guestbook with several duplicate reviews this time I loved Thranduil's attempts to reconcile with Legolas. Legolas is going to make him work hard to earn his forgiveness, and quite right, too. Even had Legolas not been his soon, his neglect of a child in his care is shameful. Still, I hope they can find a closeness as adults, even if Thranduil failed as a father. Poor Elladan. He must be torn. Having to accept that his father deliberately provoked Thranduil's neglect of Legolas must be so difficult. I love Celeborn's wisdom through all this. It's good that he's trying to promote understanding rather than simply justice. I'm really looking forward to seeing Legolas and Berenaur together next chapter. It seems like such a long time since they had any happiness in each other's company. I'm glad happier times are ahead, even though they're not out of the woods yet. |

| Message | thank Anne ![]() seems to be my lot in life for things to go wrong. I don't think there is a way to fix things and I just want to get out of this town and then I just need to stop. I just don't want to deal with this anymore and I really don't know what to do next. I am just out of options. |

| Message | Hi Stef ![]() to Thank you :0 YES! I was so happy to see your remarks about Legolas actually seeing Thranduil as a person, independent of the traumatic history they share. It is essential if they are ever to find that common ground they share. For you are right, there is much in that is the same, the very same, that neither has truly acknowledged. It is hard to do that, parent to look upon child, child to look upon parent, and recognise that this is a person existing beyond the familiar role played, a person with whom each shares many traits, desirable and not so desirable. Thranduil and Legolas share one vital sentiment - that desire to belong and to be loved - just as you said. And I agree, this chapter is the most promising for Legolas since the chapter where he and Berenaur exchanged their rings. He made a bold, defiant statement much different than we have heard him utter before - "I want to live, I want our life". I am not in that place yet. Thank you for all your kind words. I am trying and while not there yet, I have plans again. I do not want to be here; I am not glad I came back east; I could have done without experiencing that final and ultimate rejection from my father and the ongoing rejection by my children and their families. So, I am back on my own again. I am better alone since everyone I encounter views me in such a strange way, someone to kick. So I work, go to the gym, write, sleep, dream of leaving. Thank you again so much ![]() |

| Message | Hi Mermer ![]() Thank you for these wonderful compliments! I am pleased you like the stories and that Feud is among your favourites. The story is coming to a close at last and I am finally OK with that. Yes, I think that must have been quite a shock for Legolas to find Thranduil there instead of Fearfaron or Aragorn or one of the Twins. We will see their new dynamic developing soon.Thank you again :D |

| Message | Thank you ebbingnight I think Elrohir and Elladan will become good friends for Legolas and a stabilising influence, essentially taking the place of trusted confidante Malthen was meant to fulfil. Elrohir's idea of song as the key means to test reality was indeed inspired, and an easy one for Legolas to use whenever he is in doubt about what is happening and where he is. A horrible thing to have to do, but more horrible without the means to check. He has been given a means to control his reactions to his environment instead of being helpless in the grasp of memories he cannot expunge. Yes, Thranduil's presence is going to be a little hard to accept, but it will not be a bad thing for Legolas and he harbors a not so secret desire to be loved and to belong, Fearfaron's generous heart notwithstanding, for the carpenter is going to leave him soon. Thank you for your generous praises ![]() |

| Message | Thank you Naledi for two wonderful reviews Yes, the recovery is slow but I think the visitation from Lindalcon will go far toward easing Legolas' guilt and grief. He has Berenaur and Thranduil certainly appears to have had a change of heart, for perhaps odd reasons but no matter. It will be good for Legolas in the long run, though I doubt the two will ever be close and will remain contentious. Thanks again ![]() |
