| Message | hi Landruillin Happy V-day back  Oh, Meril is the absolute worst elf in history since Maeglin tried to throw Earendil over the walls at Gondolin! If there is anyone worth hating in Feud, it is she. And Elrond. And Thranduil. And Malthen. And Rochendil. Yes, Rochendil died horribly and deserved it, even the terrible thing done to his soul he earned. At least Malthen repented at the end. As for Meril, you are right, she only wants to save herself and thinks her children are the key. How can Thranduil have her banished or killed when it would make his children fade and die? And we see he does not really know what to do about her, either. He knows what she has done, but he is hampered by his own grief now. I do need to get back to the story and deal with her, and I will try to do so. sorry to leave it for so long  |

| Message | Just reading through Feud again - and I have to say: I HATE MERIL! I'm thoroughly frustrated with her selfish and power-hungry attitude about the whole Erebor business! I really really want to find out what happened! I would say I hate Rochendil too...except I think he got what he deserved already, a nice painful and slow death! Well, at least Thranduil has finally realised that Meril is involved on a much deeper level than he initially thought - urgh! I hate how she's constantly trying shove her children into ruling Mirkwood! Legolas so deserves to be the heir - as compensation to all the wrongs piled on him. I wish Thranduil and Legolas become close! In your other tales they're are such a great family; breaks my heart not to think he's not a prince any more! And poor Lindacoln! Hopefully Legolas saves him and Meril gets humiliated/banished/killed (hehe)! Sorry can't help myself! Can't wait for another update! P.S. Happy V-day |

| Message | hi Anfalas well i am sorry.  it is always a risk in any story i start, that it will go dark at some point. this went very very dark, but if there truly was no hope, Legolas would already be dead, or a soulless husk becoming an Orc, and while he frets about that Aragorn has pretty much convinced him that won't happen. the real issue is what happens after he fulfils that promise, and if Thranduil can retain his sanity then Legolas will eventually heal. forgiveness is the key, but he also is afraid to face his father. who wouldn't be? but we have seen already that Legolas can turn his mind elsewhere, he was able to think of his mother and remember a happy time when he was a child. do not despair yet, though it's not all roses from here forward. |

I love your representation of Wood elves, their customs, traditions and laws - it works so perfectly in everything! It's heartbreaking to find out the whole truth and the events that caused Legolas so much stress and grief! I can't wait to see what happens when they all arrive in Greenwood! As for Galadriel's mysterious deception - well the wizards' feeling that she's lying has got me curious!!! Will we find out what she's hiding?? Thanks for updating so soon again!
