| Message | Oh this was dark. I found it a struggle to read, but your writing, powerful as ever, carried me through. Lindalcon's death was doubly tragic, coming as it did from Legolas. If Legolas survives this, I hope he'll be able to comfort himself with the thought that he saved Lindalcon from a far worse fate. The crude 'bonding' with the wraith was even more horrific. Legolas' bond with Berenaur was one of the few good things that had happened to Legolas. I sincerely hope whatever spells the wraith has cast on him can be undone and that the bond with Berenaur is still intact. Despite the darkness of this tale, I'm still gripped by it. I hope there will be an eventual happy end. |

| Message | Hi Audreen, yes, this is a very tough part of the story to get through. There is no way for this story to become light at this point. The story from the beginning has been dark angst and it will be so right to the end. i knew Lindalcon's death would be difficult for all to read. stop reading for a while, wait for the finish, then read what you can. i understand and appreciate you trying to get through it, but stick with Aearlinn for a little while, or Legolas and the Balrog. As for ending the suffering one way or another, i'm working on it. |

| Message | hi ebbingnight ![]() thank you, it is hard to do it. i'm trying to make it follow the pattern set it motion so long ago. At the same time, these chapters have taken a long time to get here for a reason - and i am glad you see there was a struggle for Legolas to follow through, knowing what would happen to him and the burden he would carry until his end. i know it seems hopeless, but there is a way to get him out, though not an easy way and not without much suffering for all involved.saw your second note, and it shall be done. yes, their selfishness has had repercussions neither even considered. such is the nature of selfishness. it is all about various efforts to gain power and control, and strangely, to be loved. Thranduil wanted his father's love and settled for control over what remained of his father's kingdom. And Elrond wanted Gil-galad's love, settled for a Ring of Power, Celebrian, Ningloriel, and vengeance. In pursuing their ends, neither cared who was hurt or acknowledged the pieces of their own souls they were destroying along with these innocents. thanks so much for the feedback. |
