MessageAs a kid, my first trains were Lionel, with operating knuckle couplers. Uncoupling ramps (electro-magnetic) were expensive. I only had two. So my dad made me a tool to reach under the coupler to pull down the lever that opened the 'hand', letting me uncouple anywhere I could reach. Later years, when I converted to HO the thing I missed most about the Lionel was the couplers. They were bulky and overscale, but they worked like the real thing. X2-F's at best, were horrible. I didn't discover KD's until many years latter. A big improvment, but I always wished someone would make an operating 'scale knuckle coupler' in HO. I had about decided it was beyond the realm of practicality, until . . .

About a year ago I found your site, and ordered a 5 pack of EC87A-125's. These days I'm playing with On30 and Gn15 and I just got through installing your couplers on some of that equipment. I love these things. I had a friend over looking at my test track with the On30 gear on it and he said something about how good dummy couplers looked. I smiled, grabbed the magnet wand, turned on the power and showed him how they work. His jaw just dropped.

I'm looking forward to you getting your tooling set-up, 'cause I need some more!

Thanks for a high quality product at a fair price.

MessageHave been intrigued by these coupler, especially the rotary ones. I'm wondering how they would work on the Athearn/MDC bathtubs, Intermountain bathtubs and Kaslo coal gondolas.

MessageI recently had a fellow in my model railroad shop ask if I carried your couplers. I had never heard of them and he was kind enough to send me a link to this site. I would like to have buying information and terms for shops. My web site is:
[email protected]
I have many customers who would like a smaller coupler to put between their locos to achieve close coupling. I also have a couple modelers wanting more scale wheels, couplers, etc. I look forward to hearing back from you. smilie smilie

MessageAfter reading your web site, it is great to see some good prototype equipment comming out. I work for a major Railroad company and always want to have couplers to work like the real ones, to which - you can kick the cars in your classification yard, to make up trains. I really like to know, if the top or bottom operating system, could open the knucle too and stay open for this type of operation? Boy this would get rid of those mag-ramp, needed with the other couplers.
