MessageI am a SCALE modeler in S/Sn2 and have searched widely for a suitable Sn2 coupler. Received my order a few days ago - EN87KB, install and assembly kits, some other items. Though small (tiny, very tiny) in size these couplers are easy to assemble; just: a) read the simple straight forward instructions, b) look at the parts, c) read as you assemble. Frank and Melissa have done a GREAT job of bring these products to market - a high quality coupler that looks like and works like the prototype with concise, easy to understand instructions that NEARLY make putting them together second nature. THANK YOU F&M!!!

MessageI am in N scale now but considering a move to turn of the century modeling in HO. Your product looks very interesting.. more so since I would be starting at ground zero in HO.

MessageJust ordered my second pack of these couplers. They are perfect, and now I have the assembly jig they are really easy to make. Mine is a steam era shifting layout and they are perfect, but if I ever had a giant layout I would still want Sergents as they look so much better than those floppy K things with the giant tusk.

MessageI discovered these about 2-3 years ago completely by accident. My first reaction was WOW!

After a while, I purchased a few packs of EC-87K's from the Aus Proto87 online store, and started to make use of them. Being a fan of shunting layouts, it soon became very clear that these were perfect.

No uncoupler magnets between/under the rails. No need to hold the coupler over to couple... And no derailing with trip pins! And to top it all off these couplers look real and function like the real thing!

Being a modeler of the Victorian Railways in Australia, I do find the couplers aren't 100% correct for the prototype, but this is completely made up for in the detail and function. And to top it all off, they rarely uncouple unless you want them too, and they're strong!

I highly recommend ANYONE who wants to make their models look that much more accurate to use these.

They are, of course, fiddly to use, and will be difficult for people with poorer eye sight to use. However, I really think these are perfect for those who enjoy shunting in particular!

They also got me started in thinking about going fully Proto87...

Thank you to everyone in Sergent Engineering for bringing these to us, and for developing further versions!
