| Message | Hi Vonnie, This is your cousin from Concord, CA looking in to see what you were up to on Christmas Day. The photo's were great and by the way, Strawberry Cream Cake is my very favorite. As of Dec. 2006, I've retired and so has Gary. It's great not having to get up so early in the morning. I'm the night owl. Gary is doing well and you know . . .Richard sure gets around. He showed up at our house with Mary and every one had a great time. After all these years, you still look great. We live so close and need to get together. Thanks for letting us view your wonderful website. Lets keep in touch. Oh! By the way, Happy Belated Anniversary. This past September 24th, Gary and I had our 40th Wedding Anniversary. | Message | Hi Vonnie ! Thanksgiving greetings from Huntington, WV. Really miss being back there for the mini-reunions. If you recall I previously suggested trying to add a map feature to the Yamato web site so that someone could click on a state and get a list of links to alumni in that state - this would make setting up mini-reunions so much easier. Hope you can put in a good word or many such where it will do the most good. Tony -1964 |

| Message | Hi, Vonnie, I have finally been able to stay on your site (for awhile I was getting kicked out of the internet when I'd try to read your blogs). I really enjoyed reading your Civil Duty one. It would definitely be a hard type of trial to attend. I have had jury duty 3 times myself, and I didn't mind them, as I felt I could be totally fair. But they were drug and murder cases. I wasn't able to open your pictures though. For some reason, nothing happens when I click on the "x". Any thoughts? I also am anxious to find out who will be taking dues now (I sent a check to Neil, but it was right before he passed; don't know what happened to the check) and when the reunion will be in 2007. We definitely plan to attend. We had a mini-reunion this summer with Loren (and Harriet) Collett, Judy (Knoakes) & Norm Madison, Ed (and Carleen) DeGennaro, and my husband, Ken Crandall (class of '61) & myself. Had a really good time sharing pictures and memories. Ken, Judy and I live in Mountain Home, Idaho. We would love to hear from everyone who knew us at Yamato! We keep in touch with Mr. Arlton, Vikki (Buffington) Swenson, Pat (Marchand) Ritter, Jeanne (Scribner) Domuret, Doris (Tuck) Berliant, Vicki Brown (I think she went to Narimasu, though), & Shalah (Lightfoot) Smith. | Message | Thank you Vonnie for this wonderful place for Warriors to keep in touch. I never met Neil but wish I had. I almost feel as though I knew him. I am sad I didn't get to meet him. I want to let all know I saw the brats film. Brats: Our Journey Home. It was superb! I hope all of you do see it . I haven't gotten to go to a reunion since I only found you all about a month ago. but I met someone at the theater who goes to them all. I did not have the time to stop and speak with her because I had the last bus to catch and missed the last connection anyway  . Now I wish I'd stopped any way.Hi all, and great job Vonnie!
