MessageDearest Vonnie,
You certainly do have a talent for creating beautiful programs, especially this one for Memorial Day. Your Grandfather fought in WW 1, which goes way back and today Steven who just joined the Marines in 2007. My prayers are with him. It is so fastinating to read about your Family History. smilie smilie smilie Keep up the good work.
Love Your Journal,
Your Cousin Sharon

MessageEnjoyed "Mom's Obit" and recently reconnected with my own mother after our first real falling out 18 months ago. In the end, there are just the joys to remember, and appreciation to be felt. It is never too late to have a good life. As a mom I tried to be effective and not scar my children. My kids leveled with me as adults and I see it is a cycle. Mama always did her best, even if she was not June Cleaver, she was/is mine. Love what you put here for us, Vonnie ... and tomodachi's. Michele, Yamato '67 :)

MessageDearest Vonnie:

I wanted you to know how much I appreciate your memos about your adventures in life. Your honesty about you and Dave are an inspiration to me on how well a marriage can ride the 'ups & downs' of everyday situations. Please continue with your philosophical views with the wonderful humor and enlightenment that everyone can associate as being "Vonnie." You are truly blessed to seeing the world as 'more-full' and not 'half-empty.' Instead of placing you in a folder in a mailing list, I keep your memos under "My Family" as part of my personal listing, since I consider you and Dave as family. smilie

Best to you and Dave.
Love and peace to all,
Joan & Kenneth Caldwell

MessageVonnie, That was a very nice article that you wrote about Mr. Arlton. I thought you did a really nice job. I had him for chemistry my junior year at Yamato and he was a great teacher. I was definitely not a good chemist and had a little trouble with some chemicals bubbling out of a beaker in the lab one day. Poor Mr. Arlton!!! I thought he was going to come unglued that day. He handled it well and no one got chemicals on them. It was not funny at the time, but it is now. I got to speak with him at the first reunion and really enjoyed seeing him. He was a very fine man and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

MessageVonnie,
I was so surprised to see that Mr. Arlton had died. Of course, I remember him; but had not thought about him in years. I have several questions, where did he live, and how did he die, and was he married?
