Any Waco photos to share/trade?I will Have to Find them
MessageI was wondering about a Waco that was sold to a person in Tulsa Ok. My Father restored it in the early 70s and he told me before he died that it is in a museum in Oklahoma. Is there any way to find this out.

Any Waco photos to share/trade?can share photo of my dad by his Waco UPF7 NC29906
MessageMy dad, (Ernest Lloyd Thompson 1923-2004) owned Waco NC29906 between September 1946 and July 1948 in Prescott, AZ. It was the only airplane he ever owned, and probably his favorite next to the B-17 that brought him home on 50 missions out of North Africa and Italy.

I have just one photo of NC29906, (serial 5403, built 9-21-40)taken in Welton, AZ in 1946. The registration and airworthiness was canceled on this airplane on June 17, 1949. Does any major portion of it exist today?

Messagehi guys im lookig for any info on a ymf5 ,i saw one twenty years ago that had cowl ring instead of a cowl does any one have any pics of one thanks vern ANSWER: Hi Vern! Thanks for you note on our website. We will certainly try to help you in anyway possible! My husband Andy has been involved with Wacos for over 40 years and is President of our club. He informs me that he has never seen a YMF-5 with a speed ring cowl. Perhaps you can give us some more information on where you had the ride in the plane, what colors the plane was or better yet -- perhaps you have a photo with the N number on the tail? Waco built quite a few "F" model airplanes and many of them look quite similar. RNFs, QCF/UBF's and even a few UPF-7s had speed ring cowls. Is there a possibility it might have been one of those models? Andy has photos of every single YMF-5 that has flown since 1960 -- so any other details you might be able to give us will help narrow down the search a bit! We look forward to hearing from you and thanks for visiting the website! Feel free to use the email link for Andy Heins on the website to answer! Cheers! Susan, Webmaster 1930 Waco RNFs NC663Y & NC863

Any Waco photos to share/trade?not today
MessageI had the oportunity to buy a Waco 10 in a basket from John Barker, formerly at Rhinebeck and now in Vermont, a couple years ago. It was literally just down road from me, stored in an old horse barn, but I was in the middle of a Porterfield restoration, so I passed on it. It's one of the very few regrets I'll carry through life...maybe I can talk Jim Wilson out of one of his basket cases at Brodhead!
