| Message | Part Three We went bak to Iloilo City August 17 were a week long celbration of the 45th anniversary of SIGMA CHI was being held under the leadership of former GA (2005-2006) Art Postolero, the Vice GA Brod Michael Tubongbanwa and Idyllic Sister Premier Zsa Zsa Dion since the GA and MIS were in Manila. The Activities were August 14: opening of exhibit at the student center at the Alumni Hall in the morning and book donations at Mabini Elementary School in the Afternoon, August 17, 2006: Quiz Bowl and Oath Taking in the morning with Brod Wilfredo Homicillada as Speaker and oath taking officer and Basketball game (Alumni vs Residents) in the afternoon. We also played bowling the next day. Finally an anniversary ball was held at golden salakot of Hotel Del Rio on August 19, featuring a showdown of dancing between Alumni and residents. and it was one heck of a showdown... anybody who werent dr missed a lot of stomach holding laughs... d ba brod dereen? Brod Saturnino Borra was speaker. Rev Fr. Jonas Mijares, OSA and Rev Fr. Michael Belonio, OSA was dr to represent the University. I kept in contact with Brod Tom Sajo who was in the states and canada during that time celebrating with brod ted. |

| Message | Part Two TAYO is the premier award given to youth organizations in the country. It is now our goal to go beyond just being the most outstanding student organization in the university and become the best in the country. this is the legacy of the residents now. We would like to thank our alumni who welcomed us (i was with the GA and MIS) last August 11, 2006 when we arrived in manila for the national finals. the welcomed us warmly and treated us to dinner at Kwang Tong Restaurant in Makati. Especially to Sis Sarah Severino who had us fetched from the airport who was there with Brod Cezar Tugday, Brod Jun Tacuyan,Brod Nelson Solinap, Sis Minerva Leyritana, Brod Salvador Padrones, Sis Jane Zehtab Jadid, Brod Cesar Lim, Sis Dulce and Brod Archie, Sis Evelyn Villegas, Sis Evelyn Kilayko. We presented with a panel interview which included Senator Kiko Pangilinan, representatives from NYC, TAYO Foundation, UN, Mirant and others at Hyatt hotel witnessed by sis sarah, the GA and MIS last August 12 was awarded at Malacanang by Sec Mike Defensor who represented the president last August 14. we would like to thank sis sarah, sis beatriz tugday, sis mary cerrada, sis minerva, Rev. Fr. Michael Belonio, OSA of the University who was dr at Malacanang to support us. Hopefully we could post pics here soon. sensya na brod melchor saku gd kami wala ta kakit anay. |

| Message | Dear Alumni brods and sis, gud day to all of you. m ur brod sedfrey batch 82. i was Grand Archon from 2003-2005. id like to keep u up to date with everything the resident students have been doing. m stil a resident member graduating by march ds year. i have prompted the current GA and MIS to reply to ur queries but for their own reasons they have done so yet. rest assured you will here from them soon. but i am compelled to bang the keyboard and answer if not defend the residents regarding your concerns. This will be a long message so bear with me. First of all, thanx to brod melchor cichon for this website and reponding to the call of the residents to come up with the website. we would like to apoligize for not being able to meet up with you. We constantly monitor the communications here and are updating brod tom and sis sarah regarding wat uve been talking about. As for the current officers, the current GA is Brod Kristian Chif Alanan Ballener and the current MIS is Sis Maileen Belicano Seneres. To Brod Dennis, kamusta? m not sure if weve met. And yes our SIGMA CHI Fraternity and MU SIGMA PHI Sorority was recognize as a national finalist in the search for Ten Accomplshed Youth Organizations (TAYO) in the Country. | Message | I'd like to know: What happened to the early birds who logged in this site? There were Eman (?), Michael De Pedro Buhayo, Aldz (?), Sherwin C (?), Gerald Keith Capioso Lope and my contemporaries Henry Mendoza Parreño & John paul Salalila Parker. They haven't returned for a visit and left the "keyboard banging" to us. I reviewed the previous entries and found out I still have questions hanging regarding the residents in the University: Who the current GA is, etc.? Anyone who could supply that information would be appreciated not just by me but I'm sure also by the rest of the alumni brods and sis. I heard the Confraternity was cited recently here in Manila of being one the ten most outstanding student organizations in the Philippines. As for the details and what award-giving body gave such, anybody in the know? If so, kudos to the residents for clinching respectable prestige from time to time. I hope the residents have maintained, if not consistently, the title of being the Most Outstanding Student Organization in the USA which was captured during our heydays. Keep up the fighting spirit, younger brods and sis!!!   |

| Message | It's Brod Lawrence Araneta Lorenzo's birthday tomorrow, October 15. I haven't met him quite a long time but I can still vividly remember his birthday blowouts when we were younger. To anyone out there who happens to have Brod Larry's contact number, please extend my greetings to him. With the thrust of managing a bank upon his shoulder, he needs all the cheers and beers he could get, specially on his natal anniversary. |
